does sperm retrieval hurt?

:hello:

My husband is having PESA on friday is wondering whether it hurts?

If anyone has had this done any advice would be appreciated.

He is being sedated and wonders how much he will be aware of?

:scared:

:thanx:

Hiya, my dh had this done but was so worried about it that he asked for general as they were taking him down and they let him have it and that was on the NHS.

Good luck
Lizzy

RE: does sperm retrieval hurt?

Hi Gemma

My DH has had three :what:.....what a starsmile

He's had a general each time so can't comment on the sedation. Last one was done on the 11th Feb and he still has a bit of bruising around his bollox :snigger: Each one has been very different but I would expect a bit of bruising. He might wake up with a jock strap on too. My DH has just compared it to being knee'd quite hard but has never said he's more than just "sore" .

Are you having EC on the same day or is this before treatment?

If you've got any more questions hon, just fire away here or PM me. Happy to help.
