Could I pls have some S/A advice?

DH has just had his semen analysis back, we are not sure whether this is bad or really bad....
Count 74 million
motility 33% (grades a, 45% b, 55%)
Abnormal 15%
Liquidification - not complete within 2 hours - no idea what this is????????
We think the count is ok but from what we have read 33% motitlity is half what the recommended is, is this true????
We've been ttc naturally, using clomid for a boost, are we waisting valuable time, should we seek fertility help?
Many thanks for your help

My clinic says:
Sperm count: More than 20 million per millilitre is normal. Sperm motility: More than 50% of the sperm should be motile. Sperm morphology: More than 9% of the sperm must have a normal shape (oval head, mid-piece and tail). Semen volume: Between 2 and 5 millilitres

Not sure if this helps, but maybe spermscientist and PaulE can give more info...

Hi, I 'd suggest you talk it through with your clinic. The liquification thing - the sample is supposed to turn to liquid state fairly quickly. If it doesn't it can suggest that mucus is present. Sperm don't like swimming in mucus apparantly its a bit like swimming through treacle! Member spermscientist gave me some suggestions about this and possible causes, how to improve it etc. One suggestion was cutting down on dairy products if your DH eats lots. Good luck! x
