Heeeeeeeeelp

Well i had my scan today, im feeling really poo. :hairout

The Folicle was 18mm which they said was good, but they sent me away saying that i needed to test for my LH surge.
Im really confused because last cycle, which happens to be exact same timing as this one, because it was on a friday when they scanned me and they said the follicle was ready they gave me an injection to start off ovulation and i went in on the saturday to have the insem.
but this time instead of giving me an injection they have told me to test for my lh surge, if it happend tonight, which it hasnt, i should give myself Otraville injection go there tomorrow for insem.
So what happens if i get the surge tomorrow night, next day is sunday, clinic not open on a sundy.
Im so worried that this cycle is going to be a complete waste of time.

I know i should have asked them at the clinic but i was so confused that everything just went copletely out of my head.

Can anyone tell me if this is normal, am i worring for nothing ?

sorry for the long winded rant, i just dont know who else to ask
Would really appreciate your input :xxx3:

Hope everyone else is doing ok today
love andrea

Hi

I don't know the answer (sorry) but if your clinic is open tomorrow why don't you give them a call in the morning and explain that you have questions that you didn't get to ask today?

Just a thought...probably the best way to ease your concerns tho...

Thanks Bubbles

I guess that prob the best thing to do.
Im so confused, i hate feeling like that, i think its the whole not being in control thing.

I just dont understand why they didint just give me the Otraville injection today and do the insem tomorrow, ratrher than leaving it to chance.

Anyway sorry to be a pain in the backside. and thank you so much for your response. it is much apreciated.

Good luck with your Journey and keep me posted hunnie

I've not done IUI, so I can only assume that it's better to leave the follicle to mature just a little bit more if it can, which is why they want to leave you an extra day. But I agree with Bubble, call whatever number they say you call on a Saturday and ask the question. You must be sure with what to do over the weekend.

:hi: hun

I have called them a million times, no one is answering the phone.

Im sooooo angry

I did a Ovulation test this morning and there is a dark line to say it worked and then a faint line in the window of surge.
God im so confused in the informaiton leaflet it says even if there is a faint line its a NO SUREGE.

There is absoloutly nothing i can do, im in the hands of a bloody system that doesnt work
Sorry about the rant, just needed to get it off my chest.

Anyway How are you my lovely ?

Hi Andrea

If there's faint line which means no surge isn't that a good thing really if the clinic is closed tomorrow - as then if you get the surge tomorrow (ie Sunday) then you can go to the clinic on Monday?

I'd keep trying phoning as well - someone's got to there if they're open...

Hi
Completely understandable why you're concerned - its not silly t all! And its much easier to be rational when its not your own thread and worries!
Enjoy the garden and the sunshine!

Glad you're relaxed! Not wanting to make you think about it all again, but isn't there an emergency number as well as their usual clinic number? I don't think it's unreasonable to call that if you think that tomorrow being Sunday is going to mean that the whole cycle is abandoned. If you think insem is still poss on Monday, then forget what I've just said!

Hey Andrea, I have no experience with this at all, but just wanted to wish you good luck. I hope the timing gets sorted out. Isn't it just hateful when we have to rely on the mysteries of our bodies to do the right thing at the right time!! Fingers crossed that all the worry will have been worth it chick. x

Hi Andrea

Glad to see that you are feeling a bit better now. Hope you had a relaxing day and that the timings sort out for you this week. Remember when you speak to/ go to the clinc next time to ask the questions you wanted to ask over this weekend so you feel more prepared and in control should it happen again.

Oops crossposted. Does your emergency scan mean you think you've ovulated? Hope it shows what you want it to show!

Hi Limpet

Thanks hun

Phoned clinic and told them i didnt surge over the weekend, so they told me to come in for an emergency scan.
I dont think they mean emergency in a bad way, i hope.

Have started a diary now, Andrea IUI Diary, thought it would be easier.

Hows your monday going

No, I'm sure emergency just means that it's been booked at the last minute. I'll try to remember to look out for your diary. I tend to forget the diaries and look at the main boards instead.
