Janelle sorry if you have already said but did you put 1 or 2 in last time? The embyrologist asked me this morning if I have decided 1 or 2. I said we hadn't talked about as we didn't really think it was our decision but theirs. He asked my age and said because I'm 36 they might only put 1 in as the age for 2 in 37+ however I could chat with consultant on the day. Not sure what to do if they give us both options.

I had 2 put back last time but I had no real choice in that, it's just what the Dr decided. I think it was because my embryos weren't fantastic quality. I had two ok ones and one that wasn't doing great so they out the two ok ones in and kept the not great one to see how it went but it didn't keep growing.
I liked the idea of having 2 chances in one go and I think if I had the choice I'd go for two again. You just need to be sure if you'd be happy with twins if they both stuck. It can be a riskier pregnancy with multiples so you need to think of that too I suppose.
I'm not sure that they often put two back on a day 5 transfer but I don't really know much about it but I didn't think we had much of a choice in it x

Just back from transfer. All went well and 1 top grade embryo transferred. The others are now average quality so they are going to leave until tomorrow to hopefully see if they improve for freezing. My hubby was trying to persuade them to put 2 in but they said if they not good enough for freezing tomorrow then the chances of them being successful anyway was slim to zero. Think he was just trying to increase our chances if we could. I'm feeling very positive and excited but I'm hoping we have at least 1 tomorrow for backup.

The transfer was great, we actually got to see the fluid going in that had the embryo inside whereas GCRM just showed you the embyro on a lab dish before the transfer and that was in. I'm hoping these next 12 days fly by.

Awww I was the same Hopefully, tried to suggest they put 2 back in but as mine hadn't even got to blastocyst stage by that point they wanted to leave them to see if they would freeze, I have to ring tomorrow to find out! Sounds like you have the best one in there now so fingers crossed it sticks :)

Welcome to the 2ww.....I'm struggling already, worried that mine hasn't even made it to blastocyst but I won't know for at least another week! Torture x

I have to ring tomorrow as well. Good luck to you and fingers crossed we have good news.

I struggled with the 2ww last time. I tested early last time but didn't tell my hubby. I'm going to try my best to hold it out the whole time this time around.

I've two weeks off work now. Going to catch up with friends, get hair cut etc and just chill. It's hard though as I've decided not to tell anyone this time but they'll probably guess if I'm off work loads so most of my time will be spent pottering about on my own! Lol You got anythg nice planned? X

Glad transfer went well, hopefully! It's so cool to see the embryos going in on the ultra sound, I was in awe of that last time!
Fingers crossed for you both. Enjoy being PUPO and take it easy! It's cool that you will both be testing around the same time. The tww is torturous, I managed to wait until my otd last time but only because my hubby insisted we wait, I would have tested early if not for him.
I'm so excited and nervous for tomorrow, just so worried about how many eggs we get! Plus I'm not looking forward to the actual procedure either but excited at the same time lol. I'm off all day tomorrow but back at work on Tuesday. I'm a childminder and work closely with my mum so she'll do any of the heavy lifting for the next while x

Janelle I wasn't expecting it so I felt a bit emotional seeing it although i managed to hold it together lol.

You'll be grand, after tomorrow you'll 1 step closer to your dream. I know you've been through it before but don't hesitate to ask them to top up your pain relief. I let out a noise with one of the sharp pains and they automatically topped it.

That's good that you have your Mum to help out and I'm sure she'll try to take as much slack as possible.

Good luck - will be thinking about you and wishing you all the best x

Yeah I remember the nurse topping up the drugs automatically last time when I was making pain noises. I'll be having all the drugs they offer lol! Hubby has to have a biopsy and last time he was on the gas and air and he was swearing at the Dr and nurse lol. I was mortified! Hopefully he's better behaved tomorrow!

Awwww guys, I'm so sorry that your little embies didn't make it to freezing. I know how you are feeling as I was the same last time. Focus on your little embie in there, it was the best one so fingers crossed it sticks for you both!
I got 5 eggs. I'm pleased with that as it's more than last time (only one more, but still more). I've to ring in the morning to see how many fertilised. On to the next nerve wrecking part!

Hi girls was down today for a tracking scan and bloods..my lining was 6.7? The doctor said my follicles was still on the small side so they increased the bemfola from 225 to 300. This is my first time doing icsi so dont really know whats happening. Has anyone else had to increase their dosage? Starting to worry now :-( xx

This happened to me too Minnie. I had to increase from 225 to 300 this time too. Normally means you'll be on the drugs for a few days longer but it should still all be fine. I've just had egg collection today 4 days after it was supposed to be and got 5 eggs.
We might have been there at the same time today!
Good luck xxx

Minnie sounds like my first tracking scan this time and last time. Some people are slower to respond than others but you'll get there. They always kept me on same dose though as I have pcos and where worried about over stimulating so I just had to stay on meds a bit longer the first time. This time round I was slow to start but by the 2nd scan things started to work well. Please don't worry as these guys are professionals and do this everyday x

This is my second egg collection. It's quite painful, I'm not gonna lie, but the drugs they give you help and it doesn't last too long. It's bearable to get through and afterwards hasn't been too bad for me, uncomfortable and a bit crampy x

I had very little yesterday and today Im having AF like cramps, quite dull but makes me think it's coming soon.....a bit draggy and just that general AF feeling if that makes sense?

Boobs less sore today than they have been and almost like a stitch type feeling as well! I have no idea what that all means but I'm worried that it's AF on her way.

I really don't even know when it would be due as I normally have a short cycle so it could due anytime :(

It's all a guessing game. People say AF symptoms can sometimes still be the meds or the nightly gels. Hopefully it's all good signs that your wee embie is settling in.

I hate this 2ww wait. You start questioning everything. I went to Tesco the day after transfer and carried a bag of shopping with some potatoes etc in it and I've been kicking myself since in case it was too heavy. I've also been pottering about doing the washing/cleaning out clothes drawer etc then again ask myself if it's too much. I'm normally on.the go all the time so I can't sit watching tv all day.

I honestly don't think you need to be on complete bed rest or anything, girls. Just go about your normal life, within reason obviously. You'll go mad jusr sitting around all day. And just think about all the women who get pregnant without knowing it and who are all still working, lifting heavy things etc. Don't over think it all too much. I'll be working as normal after my ET, it helps to keep your mind off things, though I'm sure I'll still be analysing every pain/twinge etc! Lol. Fingers crossed for sticky little beans x

Daisydo thanks for your post. Congratulations, it's always good to hear positive stories. Not long for you now until you meet your little one.

I'm normally super laid back but the 2ww just gives you too much time to think. This is my 2nd cycle and I worked the 2nd week but got stressed so my hubby put his foot down and told me to take 2 weeks this time. I'm just going to have to plan a few things for next week to take my mind of it x

Yeah, try to keep yourself busy, it'll make the time go quicker and keep your mind off it.
Thanks, hopefully. I'm dreading calling the embryologist this morning. I'm always terrified that none will have survived! Plus if ET is today I have to go on my own which I'm not really looking forward to x
