Sorry to hear that Janelle! But sounds like they are doing their best to get you responding better which is great.

I've never heard of Luveris and they didn't mention it to me when putting my dose up so maybe it's because they know this has happened before for you and they thought this will give it an extra wee boost?

Do you have to stay on stims for longer now then or are you going back for another scan first?

Yeah I think it's probably because this happened last time too. Plus I don't think there was really anything happening with me, I had my hubby watching out for what the Dr was typing (number if follicles, sizes etc) because they don't really tell you and he said the Dr didn't put any down. I'm happier now that they are doing more to help me along. Yesterday and this morning I have been feeling a bit more, kinda heavier/fuller around that area so hoping that means something is starting to happen. My scan gas been moved from Tuesday to Monday so I'll see then. I'd imagine I'll be on stims for a bit longer than that though but we'll see Monday.
Good luck for your scan today x

Yea they are very cagey about what they tell you aren't they? Well at least they recognise that you need something extra to get things going - hopefully they will keep a close eye on you and you will get there :)

My scan went great, 15 follicles all together and they said i'm ready for EC on Monday so I take my trigger tomorrow.

I'm spotting a little bit and the Dr noticed that but didn't seem concerned but i'm going to keep an eye on it over the weekend.

I might see you on Monday :S

Scan this morning. Things are going better, they didn't say anything about numbers but seemed happier with the process. Took blood again and I've to stay on the same meds and back in either Wednesday or Thursday (depends what they say when I phone this afternoon). They said that when they up the dose you have to stay on the meds a few days longer so I'm thinking it might be Monday for egg collection but I don't know for sure x

Well had EC today and only 3 eggs retrieved which is a real disappointment! But I'm staying positive, only takes one they tell me and quality over quantity and all that!

I will know more tomorrow.

Glad things are going better for you Janelle!

Good luck for your collection tomorrow Hopefully :)

Janelle glad to hear things are moving for you. Slow and steady wins the race as they say. X

Ggirl your right to be positive and I strongly believe in quality over quanity. Did you find the collection sore? I was private last time and GCRM put you asleep for it. X

Yea it's out of my hands now so I need to just chill and let it be what it will be!

I won't lie Hopefully, it was sore but with the morphine and gas and air it is bearable......I felt it all and some bits were worse than others but it is really quick and they are sooooo good and friendly and reassuring. I wish you had the option to be asleep but we do what we have to do eh? Lol

Being relaxed and positive is the best thing we can do. Wishing you goods news tomorrow.

I'm glad of the honesty as I prefer to be prepared. I'm just going to remind myself of the possible outcome and i can't really be worried about a 20 min collection if I'm wanting to give birth 9 months down the line lol

I completely understand your disappointment, g-girl. I was the same last time as I only got 4 eggs but u still ended up with two good embryos to transfer. Do try to stay positive, quality over quantity is important and as you say it only takes one! Fingers crossed that they all fertilise for you xxx

I found egg collection sore enough and very uncomfortable (though they did have trouble getting at my ovaries and the nurse had to press down on my tummy) but it was bearable. The drugs help! The staff at the rfc are so lovely and they do make you feel more at ease too.

Good luck for tomorrow, hopefully! Xxx

You just can't fault the nurses at all. They are all so friendly and caring. Even the other day when I was collecting extra meds I had to go through maternity to get in as the main door was locked up, the nurse apologised for making me go through that way, just nice that she understands something like that is hard for us x

And thank you Janelle, I am afraid of getting too ahead of myself but taking it as a good sign that all of my eggs made it this far.....hopefully that means they are gonna be good quality :)

I'm not sure though if I want a 3 day or 5 day transfer at this point!?

It's a good start anyway, ggirl. It's a nerve wrecking couple of days waiting to hear about your embryos. Day 5 is good as it means your embryos are all doing well, but day 3 doesn't mean anything bad. If you don't have too many embryos then I think it's more likely to be day 3 as they will choose the best embryos and put them back in (as that's the best place for them) and see how the others get on for possible freezing. That's what happened with me last time, 3 of my 4 eggs fertilised, the best 2 were transferred on day 3 and the other one was left to see how it went but unfortunately didn't make it to day 5. The doctors and embryologist will know what's best to do, you just have to put your faith in them x

Well I'm going in today ladies, I have 1x 8 cell embryo, 1x 6 cell and 1x 4 cell.

So they will put the 8 cell back today and wait to see if the 6 cell is good enough for freezing on sat... The 4 cell is extremely unlikely and the 6 cell is a possibilty but not guaranteed.

I can only go on what they tell me and I'm hoping they are right!

It all went really well, just to wait now .......gonna be a long 2 weeks lol

Hopefully you have to ring tomorrow don't you?

My transfer is being pushed out to Sunday. 4 x 8 cell and 1 x 6 cell. I got the impression from him 8 cell is better. I was just so relieved to hear good news I didn't ask any questions. Why do you girls believe 6 is the better? With GCRM they told you A ,B etc grades instead of cells so I'm clueless x

No as far as I was told 8 cell is definitely better, 8 cell means they are on track and 6 means slightly behind but might catch up......brilliant to have 4x 8 cells, well done :)

No the 8 cell is better, I just thought they would have put both of ggirls ones back (the 8 and the 6 cell) as it was day 3. As g-girl says the 6 cell is slightly behind buy could still catch up. 4 x 8 cell embryos sounds great! Fingers crossed for Sunday x

I had my scan this morning and it went well. Didn't give me any number but said there was a good few on my right side but not many on the left (but I know from last cycle that I have a cyst on the last so could be why there's not many there). Egg collection us set for Monday! Excited but nervous lol

So happy you got such good quality embryos Hopefully and sounds really positive for Monday Janelle.....I'm sure you will get a good amount :)

I'm feeling ok, trying to stay positive!!
