ARGC

Hello!

I was just wondering if there is anyone here who had Tx at ARGC in London?

They phoned today and we have our initial consultation with them in 2 weeks. I'm so excited to be getting things moving!

We live on the south coast, about 2 hours away by train and car and i was wondering if anyone else had a cycle there and travelled a similar distance? How did it go ligistically etc?

Generally for those who have had Tx there how was it? What should i expect?

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Thanks L, i had a search and found some stuff.

Mr K, how did you and Mrs K find the travelling? I'm thinking when i'm having bloods every morning i could still make it back to work afternoons and then when the bloods are twice a day, take from then till after the 2WW off work. How did you guys manage it all? Did you go with Mrs K for all the appointments or just EC and ET?

we hardly took any time off - Mrs k didn;t want to sit around on her bum wondering about it ! The 2WW is bad enough without mulling it over !

travelling we were onthe 0530 train and in the clinic for 0700 !

back in the office for 9 to 10 am -

i work in London - so I just traipsed off to the office -

Given how hard poeple work - The odd bit of flexibility seems fair - depends if you want to be honest or spin a line -

The EC and TX will need a day off - you will find a group of ARGC ites in the Pain or Patisserie Valeris on MArylebone high St -
While the EC is done the guys tend to wander off -
The treatment and attention to detail is v good - for the appoitnments I joined MRs K for the transfusions and general tests she went on her own but I accompanied her to Baker st - ( 5 mins away )

also remember the tests will carry thought the weekends - so good opportunity for a joint day in London on the Saturday ......

re the travelling - go to bed real early !
