Ah Jo31 yours has to be around the corner now! Hopefully next week or following one the latest. Got my period today. I'd say there's no chances our pretreatment appointment happens before my day 21 in September. I think it will be October for us. Have to wait and see what they say on Thursday. Hope your letters come quickly ladies!

Did they give you the date of the PTC on the phone? Is the bloods apt before it? The ptc is where you get your meds isn’t it? I know it’s all in the letter but I can’t think properly today lol

We weren't given the dates on the phone, had to wait for the letter to find them out. Yeah, bloods at the beginning of October, then the PTC two weeks later where they go through your protocol and meds.

Etoot the appointments wait seems long alright but in my head I had already written off the chances of having the PTC before our day 21 on September so I was counting on a October/November treatment so as long as we hit that I'm fine with it :).

Wrote down the appointments in the calendar and seems so much more real now! Excited to have something to look forward to!

Etoot you're next! :)

I’m absolutely petrified of needles! Unfortunately I’ll have to man up and do it myself. Was recommended to inject in the middle of the two doses of nasal spray which will leave me at work 8| Just keeping the positivity flowing and praying it will be all worth it

It depends how you time the nasal spray (if you are on the spray, I know there’s loads of different options) I take one dose at 8am and the next at 8pm so half way will be 2pm in the afternoon. It was the easiest option for me.

Oh no.. I hope I’m not on that option or I’ll be in work too and I wouldn’t be able to take it at that time either, I’m a teacher so it’s either lunchtime or after 3:30. I’m hoping for the evening so husband can do it.

I’m a teacher too. Spoke to my class team and SMT and they are very supportive and letting me leave class to do it, thankfully one of my CAs previously trained as a nurse : D

Ladies everyone's treatment is obviously different. My last private cycle I injected menopour at 7.45pm then when I had to introduce the cetrocide I injected that 7.45am so they were 12 hours apart. My nhs cycle which I'm about to start in next couple of weeks is the same.

Hi everyone I hope you don’t mind me joining .
I deferred my nhs rfc cycle last month as I was having a frozen transfer . It ended in a negative unfortunately so I rang rfc today to see if I can go active again. They are sending me my letter next week so I’m delighted. Does anyone know how long it takes from when you accept to having the blood screening and the PTC appointment? Just trying to figure out roughly when I might be starting .
Any help would be appreciated, good luck to everyone that’s already stimming!!! Xx

Hi Sparkle,
I had to defer my appt too and when I rang to start they said they would send me a letter. The letter didn't come, so I had to ring them a few times, just letting you know as it meant a delay for me of a few weeks xx

I also deferred as I was in middle of private cycle. I rang as soon as my 3 months were up. It all happened quickly. Think it was 2 weeks later for bloods then another 2 weeks later for ptc. Joy18 - 3 months is max unless you have a good reason and medical from your GP saying you cant

Sparkle, It was 2 weeks from I got my letter until my blood app and a week after that for PTC. However, I would point out that was in april and when I phoned up in July to get a private PTC app it took 6 weeks to get one.

After reading everyone's posts about when you take your injections I am starting to panic lol
I am due to start my injections on Saturday and I take my spray at 9am and 9pm and was told to take my injection every night at 6pm - there was never a mention of it having to be half way between the sprays??

I couldn't possibly take mine in work so it has to be when i'm home and so 6pm suits me perfectly but do you think I should double check with the RFC about my times?

I was wondering about this too, I wasn't told anything about injections being half way between. If they told you 6pm was fine then I'm sure that will do. I wasn't told a time at all just roughly the same time each day.
