I’m preparing myself for my schedule to be changed or something!! Im having no side effects from sprays or anything so I’m wondering now are they even working at all!!! Still no signs of AF usually I get sore boobs or back a few days before it, but nothing!! I’m trying not to over think it though, what will be will be I suppose!! X

if you had not taken spray, what date would your AF been due? Maybe the sprays delay the onset of regular symptoms....
Everything happens for a reason and whilst it easier for me to say cause I’m not in your situation..... keep strong and stay positive. It will come..... at the right timing for you and your body. Nature still has to play a part - thinking about you because I know how frustrating it can be esp as you’ve come this far and just want everything to go as planned! xx

Hi Lilly16, I'm having a frozen embryo transfer in the next few weeks too after a failed fresh cycle in March. Have you had a medicated cycle or natural no drug cycle? X

Sorry to hear about your bfn Lilly16, it's really tough. It's great that you have some frozen embryos though. Fingers crossed it works out for you next time.

Just a wee update on me ladies.
I had my review appointment this afternoon. Just discussed the previous cycle, I didn't respond as well as they'd thought i was going to but they are going to change it up a bit next time and have me on the spray (though he said just because it would be cheaper for us) and they'd give me a standard dose rather than a low dose to hopefully get more eggs. I've to ring when we are ready to start and I'm just going to ring tomorrow get things moving. My period is due any day now so hopefully get started on this day 21 and hopefully have egg collection etc in Sept sometime x

Hey Dusky, It's going to be longer than I thought as i phoned the other day to get an appointment and the first they had was 6th Sept! I'm raging that despite the fact that I'm going private I still have to wait 6 weeks for an appointment! It'll probably be mid to end of Sept before I get started on sprays etc and maybe mid October before ec.
It's good thst you've got your schedule for your FET. Keep us updated with how you get on xxx

Hi Janelle, sorry to hear your last session didn't work. Are you going private for IVF or icsi? Wondering if the waiting lists are the same.

Hi fifs, we are going private for ICSI. Don't think it's a waiting list as such just that was the next available pre treatment consultation appointment that they had. Still raging that it's taking so long to get started on this cycle when I'm paying for it. I would say it wouldn't make a difference if it's ivf or ICSI if your going privately x

HI Everyone, just thought I would let you know that the owners of the new George Belfast hotel is offering couples to enter a competition for free IVF. The couple experienced problems themselves and ended up with twins. The news article is on Belfast live online news. Although my first cycle didn't work I was very fortunate to have help from family to fund it. I'm currently about to start on nhs ( not sure if there is any conditions that you can't apply if currently going through ivf) just remember reading a couple of stories on here that some women had exhausted all options and private wasn't possible.

Hi Everyone!

This is my first post on this forum so I will give you all a bit of a back story lol OH (34) and I (28) have been trying for our first baby for just over three years now with no luck! We are currently awaiting treatment (ICSI) at the RFC. We were put on the waiting list on February 15th and were told that unfortunately it be ten months to a year for treatment, so still a bit of a wait for me :-( I was doing a bit of google research on ICSI success stories to keep me positive and I stumbled across this forum! It's so nice to see a section dedicated to Northern Ireland, in a way I feel less alone now! I was beginning to feel like we were the only couple in the country with fertility issues, there is a serious baby boom around me at the moment and every announcement feels like a knife in the heart! Anyway it will good to share this journey with people attending the same clinic etc who knows we could be sitting beside each other in the waiting room some day lol

Hey teapot, I’m very similar to you, I’m 32 and OH is 31, we are on ICSI list as well, we signed on in December. He has 3 cousins pregnant at the minute and 2 were accidents so the baby boom is around me too, so unfair, I can’t hekp but be jealous and then feel awful for feeling jealous. Just hoping the list hurried up !!!!

Hi Teapot, I’m exactly like you, we are waiting on ICSI, went on the list 17th jan, you can read all the info online etc but I read everyone’s journeys in here ( feel like a stalker some times) lol! But it is a comfort to know we are not alone, the constant waiting is so difficult, but as the weeks and months go by you see other ladies who waited get their turn. X

Hi Jo and Etoot! I feel like time is dragging at the minute all I can think about is getting to December and hopefully starting our treatmentnat at ten months rather than waiting the whole year! I'm getting nervous too about taking time off work in order to attend the appointments, I don't think I'm in a place to tell people about our journey so I'm hoping it will only be a matter of taking a couple of days off and nobody will think twice about it! Trying to stay positive and reading about success stories is giving me hope that it will work for OH and I. Hopefully we won't be waiting too much longer guys! From what I've read on here the letters seem to be sent out in batches so it looks likely we will recieve our letters together! Guess we really are all in the same boat lol

Yes teapot, there’s someone else on the other thread that’s November, hoping when hers comes mine isn’t far behind. I’ll worry about work when it happens as I can’t take time off and I won’t be telling people either, I haven’t even told my family about all this, only my 2 next friends know.
