Hi princess and welcome to![]()
It can take up to 2 years for healthy people to conceive, and because of your age your doctor will not do any tests until those 2 years have gone by.
This you can do to help you:
1) Chart your monthly cycle so you know when you are most fertile. You can use ovulation sticks to help you.
2) Have regular sex (every 2 or 3 days).

Hiya,
We have been TTC for 2 years now, and both my GP and Consultant have told me that (more than likely), I have unexplained infertility. It is so frustrating because we don't know where to go next? I'm hvaing a hycosy test this week, and if my tubes are clear then they are going to put me back on Clomid again (have already done 4 cycles on it), but if that doesn't work, I think our only avenue left is IVF .My consultant rather blatantly said 'lets hope that you don't need that, because you will have to pay for it', as my partner has 2 children from a previous relationship. Don't even get me started on that! He has had children, I haven't!! So if that is our only resort we will first have to save how ever many thousands that it costs to have that done![]()
Everyone keeps telling me'think positive and it will happen everntually', but that is far easier said than done, especially after 2 years of TTC. Every month the weight on my shoulders gets heavier and I know that I'm being affected mentally and emotionally by all this, which is probably not helping me to get pregnant.
I wish you lots of luck and hope that it happens for you soon xx
Hi, I would like to share my experience and findings in regards to multiple failed IVFs and years of unexplained infertility.
After 4 years of infertility my DH and I moved to IVF treatment option. Having done 2 fresh 2 frozen unsuccessful IVFs we were told we have recurrent implantation failure. It took us a long time to investigate what was the reason for the implantation failure. I feel very lucky that at the end I have found a fertility specialist who said there is no such thing as "unexplained infertility", there is unestablished not found diagnosis or wrong diagnosis. am half way through my pregnancy now and I feel that I would like to share my preseouse findings with someone who is looking for the same thing. Please find details in my personal information below.
