ICSI chat...?

Hello

I have been chatting with a few of you recently but tbh I am a little lost of who is where etc.
It used to be very busy on here years ago...just wondered if anyone else is about to start ICSI? I am due to do DR injections on the 17th April.

I also can’t remember, it is fine to have a massage during DR isn’t it? What about stimming? My mind is blank.

Love to chat to anyone out there xxx

The nurse at mine ‘seemed’ to think it was ok, and I can’t remember what I did before... think I will book one for DR and if I find out may treat myself to another during stimms, if I can afford it! Need to put aside £300 for acupuncture, had a lovely session today.

When are your bloods hon? Xx

How annoying hon!! It certainly is a waiting game isn’t it. Hopefully they will have it today hon.

I have done it with each treatment, I love it, it isn’t sore, the teeniest of feelings when they are put in and then a little fuzzy feeling when they are stimulating, a tiny twist, it is so relaxing. They are so thin and don’t go in far, you listen to nice music and zone out for an hour, I really recommend it. Really believe in it for pre and post transfer too, great for getting blood flow to the uterus. Had some ear seeds put in yesterday too, makes me feel I have a little control on something xx

Just little hard seeds that are taped to specific areas in your ear that relate to your uterus and other significant parts, can’t remember what :) you press them 5 times throughout the day xx

Hi hon, no, tum is fine so far, no bruises etc. On my last fresh one I did have a few bruises, so far so good. I hate needles, always look away for blood tests etc. I get very anxious before the first one and then after that it’s ok.

Have you got some frosties, that’s fab!! I would phone them hon xx

I’m ICSI too but I’m totally new to all of this and am so grateful to read all the comments from you girls. I’ve researched it all a good bit but it’s still mind boggling. I was wondering if any of you know how long between the first blood appointment and the next “big” appointment where they give you all info/ drugs? I have a week away with work at the end of June (can cancel if necessary). Bloods on 15th May.

Hi Summergirl :)

I have to go private so tbh not sure if it’s different for me, I don’t think so though actually. I am ICSI long protocol.

I had bloods done at GP in February, consent appointment with consultant 21st of Feb, started the pill for 3 weeks 19th March, then started Buserelin injections on the 17th April. I am starting Menopur stim injections next week and EC 14th May

Whereabouts are you? Xxx

hey all, Sorry if this is not related to what you are all discussing but i am so disheartened....... me and my partner are in the process and waiting for the first stage of ICSI. we have had a fair few appointment, signed all consent forms etc. We had an appointment at Guys on first floor who took mine and my partners blood and said they said on the next appointment we would discuss the procedure and then appointment after we start on the next cycle. on going to that appointment we was infact told my partner needed ANOTHER sperm check (he has a low sperm count) and we was waiting for his genetics results. this was 7th March. He had a check up also to see all ok also in that time. I have been calling for last 2 weeks and then today they called him....THEY CANT LOCATE HIS GENETIC RESULTS. He needs to go in again Tuesday or another blood test for genetics and ANOTHER sperm donation for freezing! they said he will speak to our consultant also. It is so disheartening! has anyone ever had experience of anything similar??
