Ivf medication costs

Hi I wanted to know to if ur are going private for ur ivf with your local hospital can you not pay only the nhs prescriptions fee for ur ivf medication?

Is it not like receiving a regular prescription from a Dr where normally if u are not entitled to free medication u only pay the prescription fee?

It almost sounds like a loophole to good to be true lol that is why I’m left a little confusef, I’m sure someone will be able to answer this.

Thank you for ur time

When I went private I had to pay for the medicines privately. The private prescription is not valid for the nhs. I think you can go to your go and ask to convert the private prescription into a nhs, but they might say no.
Hope this helps.
