Stimming question

Hi. I am due to start stimming tomorrow. I was wondering if anyone could tell me is there a particular time that is best to inject? I take my nasal spray at 8 in the morning and 8 at night. Also are there any other tips for injecting. I'm not particularly looking forward to it so any tips or information would be good.

Hi I always used to to do my stimms injection in the evening the same time each night. My advice would be to just relax you could always ice the area before hand but I never really needed to. It's not as bad as you think I promise! Pinch the skin between 2 fingers and go for it! Once you have done a couple you will become a pro! What stimms medication are you on? Gonal F was so easy but menopur did sting a little going in I haven't tried anything else. Good luck!

Hi Onewish, thank you for coming back to me. This is my first IVF cycle so all abit scary. Thanks for the advice. I'm starting Bemfola and the dosage is 225, which is the highest dosage on the injection pen so I won't have to adjust it. I'm continuing on with my nasal spray which I take the evening spray at 8 so I'll maybe do the injection at 7.

Yes the first cycle is always a bit scary. Not heard of that particular stimms medication but if it's in a pen and you don't have to change dose it should be straightforward enough.

If I can help anymore let me know!

Good luck for the whole cycle. X

I don't think the time of day matters as long you keep to roughly the same time each day. I was always told to do it between 6pm and 8pm apart from the cycle I had in the Czec Republic where they wanted me to do it in the morning.

Like onewish says it isn't as bad as you think. I would advise you doing quickly as trying to put the needle in slowly will only make it hurt more. Once you've done a few you will be fine. If it helps give yourself a treat after each jab. And remember what you are doing it for.

Good Luck x
