Castor Oil packs / improve lining for FET?

Hi ladies,

I'm starting progynova with next period (a week or so away), with a view to another FET around day 19. Last attempt failed but no particular reason so trying to eat better / work less / get more exercise this time round (including yoga and pilates more recently).

Just wondering if anyone's done castor oil packs before a FET? Got as far as buying some cold pressed oil but haven't done the pack yet - my logic was if I did it for 3-4 nights this week (before period) it might clear out any old lining with next period then have lots of fresh healthy lining for FET, or maybe lining would be too thin next cycle? To do again between period and day 11 scan? Any experience - good or bad - much appreciated!

I'd also be grateful for any tips about growing/maintaining a healthy uterine lining. Acupuncturist said no exercise for a few days after transfer last time round, as this pulls the blood away from uterus - but my gut feeling is the sitting around hinders circulation. Doctor just said "take it easy" but wouldn't elaborate. Going to do a little walking this time round, not sure about yoga as I've not been practicing for long so might do more harm that good. Pilates is a definite no no - stomach still shakes with most poses! Maybe just do gentle stretches/cat pose etc at home - again, any advice about what to do/not to do very welcome!

Many thanks!

Hi folks, just a quick update for anyone reading original post...

Decided to try packs 3 nights in a row, period arrived bang on schedule and is a bit heavier than last one. Packs were actually quite relaxing, fell asleep with book in hand the third night. will post again if it makes any difference to rest of cycle...

Packs (to save you googling!) soak a flannel in cold pressed caster oil, fold in half, place on abdomen with hot water bottle on top, cover yourself with old towels to keep warm and relax for an hour or so. Best to put an old towel under you too, to save any oil marks on bedding, keep flannel in tub/jar/ziplock bag and re-use, adding more oil when required.

Hi ladies, said I would post again so here I am. Very early days but we had a BFP this cycle, first in 13 years. Don't know if pack made any difference but certainly didn't do any harm. Lining was much thicker than last attempt.

Good luck to everyone going through this journey x
