Ovulation type pains during down regulation?

I know there are similar threads but this is a bit different as I've only just started the nasal spray. Today is my third day and as of yesterday I started experiencing ovulation type twinges which today have got worse - bad enough to need painkillers. Is this normal at all? Anyone else had this? I've heard that your cycle can be cancelled if you ovulate :S

Hope you have been reassured by now from your clinic but in any case it is highly unlikely to ovulate during down reg due to the hormones given to you.

And even in worst case scenario they would let you stop and just re-start next month.

Good luck xx

Thanks for replying.

Just to update - I had my second scan today and they found a cyst :( which is obviously what caused the pain.

I've been given a blood test but I'm not sure why? and I was told they'd probably have to drain it.

I'm about to give them a ring with some questions because to be honest I was quite taken aback by the whole thing at the time. I felt rushed.

Anybody else have to have a cyst drained? I've read that they can just go away with more down regging :/

In my first cycle (which resulted in my daughter) there were some cysts mentioned at some point but might have been at initial tests ?o( Sorry, can't remember the exact details now. Never had it drained though. Any chance someone could clarify for you at clinic?

Big hugs xx

I had cysts after my first treatment. They went by themselves with no treatment. How are you doing?

I'll definately be getting a phone call today about my blood test results, and I'm guessing it'll be decided from there whether it needs to be drained. I'm ready with my list of questions anyway
and I shall pop back in later with an update ;)

What I thought was strange is that I was told to start on my second bottle of Nafarelin even though I haven't finished the first one yet

Oh, I know that one! ;-)

That's because they expire soon after opening so sooner than you would use it up. It is no hard and fast rule though, they just like to be cautios I am sure there are successful cycles with used up first bottles xx

They expire? Hope it was still working :S

To update - I will be having the cyst drained on Monday, which is bad timing really as my little girl has her summer concert that day and I'll obviously miss it :-( Parents are going instead.
I do want it gone though as on the monitor it was the size of a golf ball :S
