No baseline scan

Hi ladies I started DR on 7th Dec using suprecur spray. Due to start gonal f on 9th Jan. I was told by the nurse at RFC Belfast that as long as AF came on time (and it did) that I just go ahead and start the stims on 9th Jan as scheduled and won't be scanned until 14th Jan. is this normal & how will they know if I've DR properly? Thanks C

Hi, Ive been through treatment 4 times and only had baseline scan once. Every clinic does things differently so try not to worry if you find others on here with different treatment plans.

Good luck x

If you're nhs my clinic don't do baseline scans they take the bleed as knowing it's all fine. So don't worry it's normal hun.

Good luck with your treatment x

Thank you all so much ladies. Absolutely great having your advice. Good luck to you all too :)

erin83 great that we are cycle buddies :) how are you finding the injections? It's been a funny old Christmas without the odd glass of wine but its a small sacrifice. Hopefully we all have the best news ever in the New Year :) xx

Hi,

The RFC do not do baseline scans...if you have been taking suprecur correctly as outlined in your treatment plan you will most certainly be down regulated :)

Lots of luck with your cycle xx

Thanks Snuggly...I've stuck to the treatment plan so should be well ready for stims come 9th Jan :)

Aw that's great Erin :) I know it's amazing that in a funny way all the side effects, injections etc can be coped with cause we know the end result could be our wee miracles. Xx

My clinic told me that baseline scans were vital if you downregulated to ensure the lining was thin and there was no follicular activity...but it appears each clinic is different!!
