Mr underwood at GRI anyone?

Hi,

We were told recently we may be referred to Urologist, Mr underwood based at GRI.

Has anyone been referred to him for surgical retrieval of sperm for ICSI?

It is a long shot for us, but looking for any success stories out there relating to male factor fertility issues.

Thanks

:)

Hi
my ex saw Dr Underwood at the RAH when his SA was zero (turned out to b a prescribed drug that killed off his swimmers for a while)
The GP had a fiddle of his bits, found nothing untoward and agreed ICSI was our best shot.
I assume that as you are seeing him at GRI then you are already on the waiting list for IVF/ICSI?

Wishing you good luck x

Ex: 4xICSI = 2x BFP(2x m/c) + 2x BFN

Mr underwood - GRI

Hiya curly

We have not been referred yet, it depends on my OHs third SA. If its positive we will be put on list for ICSI, if its negative we will be offered donor unfortunately. That's what the fertility clinic say anyway. We are considering asking about prospect surgical retrieval and the urologist Monklands use is Mr Underwood. Hence the query, we just wanted to see if there were any similar circumstances to ours.
Fingers crossed we get some swimmers for ICSI.

Raising an old thread mr underwood or Dr Lyall?

Hello,

Just thought I would realise this thread. I posted in May asking about GRI urologist Mr Underwood. We have now been referred to GRI to the combined urology/infertility clinic.

We have been told it's unlikely we will qualify for ICSI and donor IVF/IUI will be our best chance. Comes down to male factor issues.

We were also told the IVF waiting time for GRI is 12 months.

It is likely I will get an HSG,or lap( depending on GRI) between now and that point.

Hope it goes in quick.
