Endometrial scratch

Hi girls,
I'm in the middle of a medicated FET cycle and having lining problems (day 14 - 6.8mm). Previous cycles have been poor too (fresh cycles got to 7.2mm and 7.4mm, and an abandoned FET only got to 5.8mm on day 17).
I've tried lots of supplements to help with my lining - plus all the usual stuff (brazil nuts/red meat/hot water bottles etc) but it's still on the thin side.

I'm thinking of doing an endometrial scratch before my next FET.

Please does anyone have any experience of this? Any success stories?
Rosa

Hi honey I also have similar lining issues on my last fet it measured 6.7mm on day 17 but the clinic said it was triamular triple stripe and that's what the look for. I got pregnant on last cycle unfortunately it didn't continue which was probably more to do with the embryo than my lining. So I don't think It's necessarily an issue although ive heard gold things about the scratch?

Also I've heard viagra can help with blood flow to the uterus so may be worth a mention to your clinic?

Thanks Macksie, I've read a lot about viagra being good. The clinic have given me aspirin this time, but I was planning to mention viagra to them next time.
We are going ahead with this cycle anyway (ET next Thursday) and apparently I have the triple lining - so hopefully it will implant like yours did. I'm sorry your pregnancy failed - it's such a hard road we're all going down. Are you trying again?
xx

Hi Rosa
Two of my FETs were cancelled due to lining issues, I only got to about 5mm both times. I honestly think giving my body a break from treatment helped my lining thicken for the third one. It only got to 8mm but had the triple layers Macksie mentioned. I had extra oestrogen through HRT patches as well as 4 X 2mg progynova a day. I took. 6 months between treatments 3 and 4 which I know is a very personal choice but my opinion is that's what helped. I also had a hysteroscopy to rule out womb issues too which was peace of mind.

Good luck x

Thanks Net, it obviously worked for you!
I'm on 4 progynova, an HRT patch and an aspirin this cycle so I don't know whether they can increase my meds next time.
I've already decided that I need a break after this cycle, so I'll probably wait til the autumn to try again, and try and forget about it all in the meantime, and try and have some fun over the summer.
Thought I would look into what I can do differently next time now, and put a plan in place so that I can have a nice summer knowing that I'm all prepared to try again later.
