Hi Lightening,
I'm just back after a couple of years away.

I swear by Acupuncture it worked for me on my third try and also
For several people I know who I recommend it to.
I had 1 session a wk for 6 wks run up and 2 on day of ET, before and
After.
Will now find out if it is affective with a FET as it was
With IVF.

Hope my info gives you some help!
Good luck

Oooohh I've just stumbled across this thread by accident. I started acupuncture a couple of weeks before Christmas with a view to having it weekly in preperation for my 1st IVF cycle in February.

Tel, it's so lovely to hear of a success sorty from acupuncture. I'm really hope it's going to help us and I must admit it really does help me to relax and unwind, which can only be a god thing.

Hi Wannabeamum
I can't say I find it relaxing, but I do hav my own business and actually
I probably wasn't as stressed this Christmas as with previous years!!!

I believe in it sooooo much, I had previous ICSI and FET without it which
ended in bfn's. A friend of mine had an IVF bfn, then had one with the Acpuncture and had twins,
and another friend of a friend had acupuncture with her 1st IVF and had a bfp, She's due this year.

I know there's probably alot more to it, ie viability of embryos etc but there's defiantly something in it!!!

Hoping it's as effective with FETs, although last time I didn't have a 2 yr old to
Pick up and run around after, I'm not complaining, what ever the outcome I
Consider myself very lucky.

All the best in your up coming cycle x

Thank you Tel. Lovely to hear so many ladies have found it helped them achieve their BFP's. As you say, there's no guarantee but I'll give anything a go if I think it might help.

Wishing you the best of luck with your 2ww. Lets hope it brings you another BFP!

Can anyone tell me whether it's safe to have acupuncture during pregnancy. I've got a session booked at the end of this week (the first one since my BFP) as the acupuncturist recommended continuing with it all the way through. However, I've read conflicting info online about whether it's safe to have it or not whilst pregnant.

Any advice would be great.

Hi my darling wife had acupuncture for acute morning sickness - you can have acu during pregnancy but your acupuncturist can only use certain points on pregnant ladies.

Thanks Demon. I contacted my acupuncturist, who has been practising for a long time, and she reassured me that she knows what she is doing and wouldn't do anything to put my pregnancy at risk. She's suggest doing it weekly up until 12 weeks to help prevent m/c

Hi All, This looks like I may have stumbled over a hibernating thread, but....
Wanting to find out about some acupuncture & IUI sucess stories? I've tried reading through, but got to page 6 and gave up ! I hear/see lots about acu + IVF, but not so much IUI ?
I've just started acupuncture, and plan to go once a week (give and take holidays planned!) ready to start IUI again in late Oct/ Nov time....I was a pretty unstable responder on my last treatments, so hope this is going to help my body get ready for action so to speak
Anyone able to jump in and throw a bit of sunshine on this for me, I would dearly love to hear of some success :)

Hey BBE fancy bumping into you here  I know acupuncture can help support all aspects of infertility. The guy who did mine even recommended DH had a few sessions to improve his [zx151] as we had male fertility issues. I've just had my 1st session today after my BFP & I'm hoping it helps with my MS - i'm feeling better already smile2

Oh Sazlou, I am so glad that the Acu is already working it's magic for your MS. Hopefully you'll be able to start enjoying your bump when you get the sickness under control.

I have noticed that my AF was so so so very different this month after just 2 sessions (sorry if TMI !) so hopefully the 'ol insides will be starting to respond to the effects already.
I've started the extra suppliments and changed my diet as reccommended, so hopefully, I'll be back in soon with a success story of my own xfingers
I was just hoping to hear a few more to help with the PMA !
I'll keep my eye out none the less : D

I just thought I'd pop in with a bit of hope for all....
5 acupuncture sessions over 3 months (she was away for a month!), a diet change and bbt charting, I have just got by 1st BFP in 5 yrs!
I absolutely believe that it was the acu that was the final peice in my puzzle. Hopefuly those needles will help this BFP stay sticky too

Thank you Macksie
I can't help with the charcol stick question I'm afraid, I was just needles and heat lamps, but I know that they use all sorts of natural things to get your body clicking into place. Someone may pop along with some other info soon though.
Good luck
:xxx:
