Information on Down Reg

Hi Everyone

Starting ICSI long protocol in May and wanted some information on down regulation. I know I get prostap approx 13 May and then start stimulation provisionally 30th May. Whats happens in this gap of 2 weeks? Any information would be appreciated.

Your ovaries stop ovulating and shut down. After that you'll have a bleed. Once you've had the bleed the clinic will do a baseline scan to check the lining of the womb and the ovaries. If the lining is thin enough and there are no cysts you will start the stimulation phase where they'll will inject some different drugs to make you produce lots of eggs.
It takes a while for your ovaries to shut down, hence the 2 weeks gap.

Yes that's right. They need to do this so they can make your eggs grow and collect them without your body ovulating on its own.
