Congratulations on your pregnancies.

How are we all doing.?

Some of you may remember me - I have not been here for a while since giving birth to my son 'Kaleb' a year ago.

Curlytail: A very big congratulations to you my darling- I can't tell you how happy I am for you

I got braxton hicks when I was preg too - it just feel like a really numb pain that comes and goes for a few mins with a lil pressure.

just to let you know my little twinnies arrived on Frid 2/3/12................Aiden born at 1pm and Libby born at 1.57pm...............normal delivery and no intervention needed at all. They are totally perfect, born at 36 weeks gestation.

Hoping the last stage of your pregnancies go smoothly for you all...............will keep popping in and out to see how you are all doing

I am back well will try and come here more often ,it strange when we are first tri and second I posted all time i could but lately its been so difficult , I am happy too see some of you ladies here.
as for me well things as usual are very complicated ,I go once a week for scans ,no heart block yet so this is good news but my amnioyic fluid is low and my placenta seems to be refusing to do what it is suppossed to do because of this nasty lupus ,I am going to be scanned this thursday again and really hope we get some good news,our lo went from being too big because of my gest,diabetese to becoming smaller as the lupus is affecting and it seems like he is not growing much ,so i am panicked ,was told to monitor very closely his moves as he may need to be delivered urgently ...... and of course he is still breech...otherwise still working and rushing to finish the baby room

Test went ok, I had to buy a drink called polycal and they mixed it with water at the docs and had to drink as quickly as possible which was fine but then i've had heartburn since :-(

Got someone viewing our flat tomorrow so been doing the house work today, though i needed a break so came on here :whistling:

Then got a midwife appointment on Wednesday.

Stuck on the labour ward at the moment waitin to see a doc!!!
The midwife was worried about baby's movements etc so wanted me to get monitored!!
The woman is happy with the print out from the machine though, but she did say I'm getting tightnings ?o(

So now just waiting on the doctor to see if I can go!!!
Hopefully not long to wait.. I'm starving!!!!

Other than that MW app went well, but she's now measuring him 2 weeks ahead!!! I think I'm going to have a little porker

Home now, there happy with his movements.. His head is apparently really far down and they reckon not long till his engaged!! Then they said about the tightnings just keep an eye on them if they get more frequent and painful then get back in touch ASAP!!!
I really have a feeling he is going to be early!!! Hopefully not this early though

The most awful thing happened while I was there, I actually started bawling my eyes out when I come out.
This woman opposite is 29wks, they wired her up to the machine but couldn't find a heartbeat, and she just started screaming and crying

I practically ran out of there after the doctor finished, it had me in bits that poor poor woman

Ooh you'll have to take some pics Kat. We're doing the nursery in the M&P Gingerbread range as someone was selling a huge bundle on gumtree for less than I was going to spend on fabric for the curtains etc. We've managed to buy the curtains, lampshade, bumper and quilt, blanket, cushion, curtain tie backs and 5 pictures for 100 pounds. It should all arrive tomorrow and I can't wait to get it all washed and in place :smile:

Cheenab I hope you're having a less stressful day today. I kept thinking about that poor lady last night :sadface:

Ooo that's a bargain ct!!!
We still haven't decided on bedding etc yet we best get a move on ay

Both of you ladies will have to take piccies

We've got a crib coming from Dp's parents that has been in there family since before dp was born!!! It's lovely our little boy is going to get to sleep in the same crib his dad did

We bought a new mattress for it of course, now just need to get some bedding

Today has been a lot less stressful, rang in sick at work just so I could relax a bit!!! Can't wait till next Friday then maternity leave starts woohoo

!!!
Had a phonecall from my MW earlier she has got me an app at the fetal health unit on thurs for a review, not really sure what it involves though

I keep thinking about that poor woman also

But keep telling myself they found the heartbeat after I left, I pray that is right!!!

Our one is a really funny size so got it off a website and it was really cheap, think its called the cot mattress company if you want to have a look

We got the crib and cot bed mattresses plus delivery for £67 so nice and cheap

Got a voice message from antinatal clinic asking me to phone about my glucose test, didnt get it till after 6pm so cant phone back till tomorrow. I hope nothings wrong but they said I wouldnt hear anything if nothing was wrong ?o(

Curly tails you will love the gingerbread range, we brought the whole lot for jaydens nursery And it looks lovely. Everything is such good quality and very cute, the curtains and tie backs are my favourite. Your little one will love it to.

Hope all you lovely pregnant ladies are enjoying your final weeks... My advise is get as much sleep and rest as you can, enjoy your lovely lie-ins and long uninterrupted sleep because you'll soon be getting none at all, lol... Take care of yourselves and those lovely bumps x

My glucose test results came back abnormal so got to go to the ante natal clinic at the hospital on friday for a different test and discuss things with the diabities specialist. Had midwife appointment today, bump measuring spot on for dates, blood pressure still low but midwife not concerned. Had a feel of baby and she's head down still so thats good.

Hope all goes well today Kat. Good news that you are measuring spot on and that baby is head down :thumbsup:

I had my MW yesterday and I'm measuring right too. She says mine is head down but I'm not convinced. I keep feeling him/her lying across my tummy and can clearly make out the head and bottom. Oh well I have 8 1/2 weeks to go so I'm not going to stress too much.

The nursery is coming on nicely. I'm just waiting for DH to get up so we can get on with our bedroom and get upstairs finished. No such thing as a lie in this week!!

I think we have a few ladies joining us from the second tri soon so maybe it'll become a little less quiet!

Well I have gestational diabeties, got to test my blood sugar levels 4 times a day, change my diet and hope that helps. If not will have to look at insulin. Will need regular growth scans with the first being on the 3rd April, I wont be allowed to go overdue as it increases the risk of a still birth so from 37 weeks i'll be monitored to see if lo looks like she might be making an appearance, if not i'll be induced. This is yet another hurdle to get over but lo will be worth every second.

Really sorry to hear about the diabetes Kat, hopefully they've got it early enough and can get it under control so insulin is only used as a last resort, one positive to come out of it you get to see LO more

how's the decorating coming along?

Afm- app on Thursday was so stressful!! Our little man is now measuring 39wks and has turned round so is now breech

Got to have a growth scan next week to find out exactly what he is measuring then see the con the week after and will no more what's going on then, the con said if he hasn't turned, or is really massive then it looks like a c section

Hopefully it won't come to that!!!

On a good note I finished work today woohoo

had a word with my boss yesterday about everything and asked if there was any way I could finish a week early, she was really nice about it!!!
So no more work, yay!!! One less stress to deal with

now I can just concentrate fully on our little boy and getting him here safely

Hi girls,

I've been really bad and not posted since 2nd tri. But have been trying to keep upto date with everyone. Have to say I'm glad its nearly over now this pregnancy has been a rollercoaster! But I can see light at the end of tunnel.

Hope everyone is getting on ok?

To be honest getting a bit nervous now although we already have a son its completely different this time as I jad an emergency c section before at 36weeks and he weighed 3lb 14oz. So have no idea what labour is like or anything. I know this little man is st least 6lb from my last scan. So tired today just wanna sleep!

I will start catching up with everyone I promise.

Hi ladies

Sorry I have been so quiet not sure why just busy at work etc.

Having a great time enjoying being pregnant. Lovely after all the problems we had previously.

Little one is breech and combined with my bicornuate uterus = cesarean. All booked in on April 16th! Can't believe it is less than 3 weeks before we meet her :thumbsup:

6 cycles all BFN.
One last immune cycle - July 2011
06/12 - :girl:

Baby Isobel arrived on 16/04. Life is complete :hugs:

Wow not long to go Devchick! Do you feel ready for her? I think it'll be a race to the finish between you and Cheenab... How aware are you of BH contractions? My tummy seems to be constantly tightening and I have no idea how often you should have them. They aren't painful so I'm not worried just curious.

I'm 32 weeks today and my LO still feels a lifetime away... how much longer can I stay in denial I wonder :snigger:

I hope you ladies on Mat leave are enjoying this weather, and those of us still at work are getting a chance to see a little bit of sun.

It's getting very exciting in here!!!
Ct happy 32 weeks

I think I'm the same still a tad in denial!! We talk about him like he's going to be here soon but it's still mad to think there's going to be an actual baby at the end of this

I seem to get BH quite regularly as well hun, don't think it's anything to worry about just your body practising

I literally am sitting there and my belly goes rock hard, it can look a bit of an odd shape depending on how he's laying!!!

Dp has been a diamond this week, he's been getting up half hr early to take the dogs out before he goes work

I usually take them about 10.30 but they have been pulling alot recently and since my back and feet are hurting so much he agreed to take them early, bless him!!! Then we've all been going for a walk together in the evening when he gets home :thumbsup:

We ordered our crib bedding yesterday, it's sooo cute!! It's got a dumbo logo on it and white with blue stars

can't wait for it to get here

set the crib up the other night aswel, so we are finally getting there

Anyways I'll stop rambling

Hello all!

I think it is time for me move over to his new home, as I am 29w+2 today. Our 40 week due date is June 13th, but we know we are very unlikely to get there. We are expecting twins, one girl and one boy. And doctors don't want you going past 38 weeks as the risks to the baby increase later on. Al we hope for is to reach May, about 34 weeks. Anything after that would be a bonus and if we reach 37 weeks it is like a lottery jackpot!

I finished my work on Wednesday, so now have 6 weeks of annual leave and starting maternity leave officially on May 16th. My second day at home, and I can't go anywhere as our pram is due to arrive today or Monday. And Tuesday a changer/dresser is going to be delivered. Although, I am happy to stay on the sofa today - woke up all aching, so happy o take it easy today!

hey ladies,
I see a lot of happening here and it was so quiet recently ,
I can’t believe I get to say I am still pregnant and baby is stable at the moment ,my lupus has flared but taking steroids so so so,my diabetes is sort of under control, and our little one has no heart block as in the beginning they said 1 in 4 because of my crazy antibodies, still breech and have been now booked for C-section ,I was offered the manual turning but decided not to do it as it sounded too risky ,I am still working so this is one of the reasons I have no time and panic very often when he doesn’t want to move ,so I get checked once a week now scan etc. ,sorry for the short post will def,try make a proper post in the next few days,

Welcome Amber, I was wondering when you'd join us. I've known lots of twins on here reach 37 weeks so hopefully you can too.

Do you have a date for the c section Mim? I'm guessing either you or Kazzy will be next... unless Cheenabs little man makes a move. It's all geting very exciting!

Poppy that's great news about Charlie. Do you have a photo of him to share with us?

Are any of you suffering with fat fingers? I tried to take my wedding ring off this morning and it won't go over my knuckle. I'm worried that with 7 weeks to go my fingers may swell up and it'll get stuck altogether. I don't really want to take it off but I also don't want to end up having it cut off because it is too tight....

Great news poppy!

No fat fingers here yet, if anything, my fingers shrunk for the first few months - if I shook my hands, the wedding ring would go flying off! It is ok now since it is warm. I keep checking that I can still take it off though - don't want it getting stuck!

Anyone else suffer with painful bump at night? It hurts really bad on the sides every time I need to turn. It gets better after short time once I am in position, but. Have to wake up to turn and if I am getting out of the bed, it is hurting as well!

Had an awful pain last evening and this morning, it felt as I there was air trapped in my stomach and it was hurting both at the front and at the back under my ribs. Can't explain it really, but this pain is horrible, haven't found anything to relieve it.

CT, yup my fingers are fat, but like you trying to keep wedding ring on as long as possible. My toes are fat too xxx
Amber, I find that my hips get really sore at night and my pelvis clicks alot when I need to turn over. Getting out of bed hurts xxx

I too have been suffering with fat fingers!! And fat hands and feet, just fat in general rotf

I sort of get a numbing feeling in my fingers and hand especially when I first wake up!!!!

My bump is really starting to ache at night, it's so hard to get comfy and I have to sort of roll out of bed when I need the loo rotf

Hope you ladies are having a lovely weekend, we just got back from a having a yummy carvery :thumbsup:

Now got a pile of ironing to get through

Busy week ahead, MW tomorrow then consultant Tuesday then scan on Thursday!!! Hopefully we will no more by the end of the week when will get to meet our little boy

I have to roll out of bed too :snigger:

I had a record of trips to the loo a couple of nights ago... please don't tell me it gets even worse as you get closer.

Amber my friend who had triplets described pains like those under her ribs. I do get them at the front every now again but not all the way around. I wonder if it is worse with multiples?

Cheenab I fancy a carvery :licklips:

I'm doing a roast tonight but it's never quite the same.
