Lots of tests, can anyone help explain what they are for?

Hi girls!

sorry not been on in a long time, have just had my review appointment at clinic and I had bloods done today and OH had one done too, I have googled the tests and appears most of them are for blood clotting, wondering if anyone know anything about them if this would be level 1 immunology testing?

Lupus and Thrombophilia
Anticardiolipin AB
Factor v Leiden
Cystic Fibrosis
Karyotype
Chromosomes
CMV
Blood Group

are these tests a good start as I have had 4 BFN's and not one single BFP. can you think of other tests I should ask for?

Hi nic
I think the last 5 tests are to check some genetic Problems or diseases like cystic fibrosis. The others are for things that could cause a m/c like sticky blood so they can give you aspirin. They ate just checking that there isn't anything else. It's good.

Ps they are basically similiar the level 1 immune tests. Lupus is an auto immune condition.

Hi Nic, lovely to see you back on here. Hope you are doing ok hun.

The tests you had are the level 1's with afew more thrown in. Although there is a full list of possible level 1 tests on here somewhere if you search for it. These are a good start. Wait for the results and see if anything comes up. If not, then you can always consider having the level 2/Chicago tests done then. They are expensive and you have to have them done with an immune doc (a clinic which follows reproductive immunology) but they are well worth it even if just for peace of mind. If somethings do come up there then you can take immune drugs which is a positive thing.

Hi Nic, yes these are all typical of level 1, with one or two extras.

If they show nothing, then you may find it useful to start level 2 tests. Expensive, but they will give you the most comprehensive answers either way.
