Timing for taking calcium & aspirin

Hi ladies. I'm going to start taking calcium after my EC on Sat because of the steriods and clexane. I've read previously that they can prevent the body from absorbing calcium and so you should top up. I think I also might have read that you shouldn't take the calcium at the same time as the steriods. Does anyone else know about this. If I take my steriod in the morning and clexane at lunchtime then am I ok to take the calcium at nighttime? Just looking for some reassurance really.

Also I'll be starting aspirin aswell. I'm sure I've read somewhere that aspirin can prevent the absorption of folic acid...? If this is the case, when is the best time to take aspirin? Morning or evening? I take folic acid at lunchtime and at dinnertime. I know this sounds like silly questions but just trying to work out the best times for everything so that nothing clashes.

I took the calcium 3 times a day so one dose was at same time as steroids. I was never told there would be an issue. Why are you on aspirin and ckexane? Again thOugh I am sure there won't be a problem.

I don't think aspirin causes any probs with absorption, but you should take it with food. Ideally take the clexane and aspirin at different times, but depending on how often you are on clexane you may not be able to. I was on once a day clexane pre ET so took aspirin am and clexane pm. But now I'm on twice a day clexane I take both in the morning and it's fine. It's just better to separate them if you can.

Thanks ladies. I think I read about both these things on one of the 'other forums' but can't remember where they were getting their info from............. Anyway, what you have both said helps me arrange my schedule/plan of when to take what. xxx

Bravegirl - hope all is well with Bravebaby, he's beautiful. xxx

I must admit that I just chugged everything down my neck at once :O but made sure that I did so with food. As for my clexane and aspirin - noone actually told me to space those, I just happened to, until I forgot a clexane and then had to do morning injections.... ?(

Anyway sweetie xfingers all is good with you.
