Do I need HIV, Hep, etc tests before trying again?

Hi,

we are currently trying naturally but sadly I do not have the least faith in this working for us. My DH and I agreed that if nothing happens before, we'll go ahead with FET again in July. I was wondering whether the clinic will insist on having more recent results for HIV, hepatitis, smear, etc tests. If so, I should have them done asap, and maybe I could ask my GP to perform (at least some of) them, to save a few pounds.

Does anyone have any experience on this?

Oh dear, I'm already nervous, and I thought I'd be more relaxed for the second one!!!

Thanks,
Alra

Hi there, usually your tests are valid for a year.

At least that was the case when I was cycling.

Hope that helps. Good luck!

Thanks Calipso, that's what I thought! Maybe I should call the clinic and check with them. I just dread calling them, for some reason ?(

They are valid for 1 year. Some clinics like to have them new for each tx cycle.... The GP should be able to them for you.
Take care.
