humira with a cold

Girls am I allowed to take humira with a really bad cold? I was going to take it next week, but I thinking that it's probably better to recover from the cold I've got first???

What do you think? The cold it's pretty bad I'm sort of in bed, well on the sofa with a very bad cough (it hurts), sneezing and blowing my nose every 5 seconds!

Ideally you should wait until the cold is gone. I took it once, and then the next day a cold flared up so I rang ARGC in a panic, they said ideally if I'd realised the cold was developing they would have said not to take it, but it would probably be fine. It cleared within 24 hours, which my colds always do due to my crazy immune system so the Humira didn't seem to make it worse.

They did say though, that it was best not to take it if you've got something, so maybe give it a few more days.

Thanks Ruthie. Shall I call them to tell them or shall I just leave it and tell them once I have taken it?
