Donor Sperm - Hammersmith Hospital

Hello,

DH and I are likely to be going down the sperm donor route. Does anyone have experience of Hammersmith and donor sperm? i.e. how long is the process? We are NHS patients.

Any info would be great.

Thanks

Hi, Karen
Sorry I cannot answer your questions as I am not in the UK and have no idea of time-frames etc up there.
I did solo DI here and the rules are very different, I believe. I do know that, everywhere in the world, they try to match the donor with your partner as closely as posible where colouring and build are concerned.
Good luck, Hun

Hi Karen

hope you are doing OK hun

might be worth giving the clinic a call, we are trying a new clinic as NHS patients for our next cycle and I called to speak to the embryologist, very nice and helpful and told us the waiting list for sperm is approx. 6 / 12 months but we could consider buying it and transffering it from another clinic to save time - might be an option for you?

Good luck and please pop into the MF chatter - we miss you xx
