Had tube unblocked. advice pls

Hello all
I had been trying to get pregnant for 2 years with no success. so approx 8 months ago i went to see doctor who done tests on my fiance and was fine. done some tests on me to check my hormone levels and all was fine. so was sent to hospital for a hysterosalpingogram. this reveled that both my tubes were blocked. We were both gutted at the time. however a surgeon contacted us and wanted to attempt to un block them.
So i had the operation just before xmas. it was half successful. he managed to unblock one tube.
so there is the back ground info now to my question.
We have been trying since and also using the clearblue fertility monitor and i usually have peak LH days around day 26. so works out about 40 day cycle. My worries are that the tube has blocked again. before i go back to hospital i thought i would ask on here for any info.
Does a peak in LH mean i have ovulated?
Is there any way thro checking hormone levels that my egg has reached my uterus?
Is there anything i should look for as signs that there is a prob again or not?
Pls any info or advice would be great thanks

Hi Louise,

A big welcome to FZ :)

I can't help you with all of your questions, but I am sure someone will be along later who can.

Firstly a peak in LH does not prove that an egg has been released, so although fertility monitors can be used as a predictor of when ovulation may occur, it doesn't prove that it has. If ovulation has occured you should get a surge in progesterone, a blood test will be able to pick up this surge - but the timing is essential. I think it may be worth going back to your GP or consultant and discussing your worries.

Why don't you pop along to the newbies section and introduce yourself:…ard&boardID=60& It's a great way to meet other going through the same as you.

Wishing you lots of luck on your TTC journey,
