Sperm Tests

Hi

Can anyone help? Where in London can we get private tests done on sperm, e.g bacterial or DNA? As we had zero fertilisation on our first ivf despite his tests being ok. Our second go with ICSI fertilised but we got a BNP.

Thanks

RE: Sperm Tests

Hi to you,

I would highly recommend that you contact :

The Doctors Laboratory (TDL)
55 Wimpole Street
London
W1G 8YL

0207 307 7383
www.tdlpathology.com

Open 8am to 7pm weekdays
9am to 5pm Saturdays

This is a very good laboratory doing a wide range of sperm investigations. They are the laboratory that I have used for many years, for my London and Home Counies patients.

If you have any problems let me know and I will speak to them and sent in a request form on my clinic paper.

RE: Sperm Tests

Thank you Paul. Can we just book tests or do we have to be referred?

PS just read my post, I meant to type BFN, I wish I could have said it had a P on the end, BFP, hopefully next time.

RE: Sperm Tests

Hi,

You should be able to book yourself directly, with the results going back to you, or your GP. I am not sure whether the fees are different from when patients are referred by a clinic. Some of the tests can be quite expensive, they are now quoting me £350 for sperm DNA fragmentation and £450 for sperm aneupliody.

If there is any benefit, or need for referral, then you can tell them that you are being referred by me from The Rodney Fertility Clinic, Liverpool, and I will send in a request form. Then PM me with your details and what you feel you need to have done, and I can organise this.

Good luck,

Paul

Thanks so much for your help Paul.

Can you tell me what the sperm aneupliody test is for?

Thanks
Lucky Star.
