Anxious giving up breastfeeding at 1 year?

Hi all Thanks for replying, i suppose i have took on board some of the negative comments that i have recieved especially from family members so thought of a year as a guideline to stop if i hear 'she looks to big to be doing that' one more time i may go slightly !! I just think that she has done so well with it and it suits us and as far as i know is still doing her good, in actual fact the HV said that her eczma could have been helped by breastfeeding this long!! I did still breastfeed my son a...

Anxious giving up breastfeeding at 1 year?

Hi all I have completely breastfed Cerys since birth and she turns one in three weeks-unbelivable!! So i have spoke to health visitor about cutting down her breastfeeds so the past few days we have replaced her 3pm breastfeed with cows milk which she is not overly keen on but will drink-she has never took to a bottle so we use a sippy cup. So now she is having morning and bedtime breastfeeds. My real issue is as daft as it sounds is i feel this overwhelming sadness that this stage is coming to a...

Hiya I am still BF Cerys and she has just turned 10 months, she has got herself into the routine of having a feed from me at about 6.30 am then breakfast about 8am usually weetabix or porridge then she has lunch sandwich, fruit, yoghurt about 12pm then i give her some expressed BM about 3pm in a sippy cup as she has never really taken to a bottle then she has tea (whatever we have usually) then feed from me before bed about 7.30 pm. This seems to suit her and today she even went through the whol...

expressed milk storage confusion

Hi I am expressing and have a big store of EBM, within the three days of it being kept in the fridge i am pretty sure it is fine for the six hours out at room temperature, of course if its hot this summer (some hope!!) it would be a good idea to use a freezer pack, or i just put it straight from fridge in to bottle carrier bag, it stays pretty cool in there. It gets so confusing...DD is my second and i am still looking things up about storing EBM. Im sure someone who can give a real clear answer...
