adoption medical

Hello we're just starting the adoption journey-do u still have the medical questions? Would you be able to PM it to me too please? Also, will my GP tell the adoption people when I last had ivf? I haven't been entirely honest with them about when my last attempt was (it was last year) but my GP knows because he let me do some tests on the nhs Thanks HSE x

Hi ladies good luck with your journey Klimt-everything crossed for u-how ru feeling on the drugs? Glad ur starting to feel physically and mentally better-when ru thinking of starting again? Well we've had something positive happen to us at last-we've been given the green light to start the adoption process with out local authority(they knocked us back a year ago for various reasons but we seem to have convinced them that we've moved on and grown since last year. Anyway it's only the beginning an...

Hi Anne glad u had a good break-u deserved it. Not much news from me-haven't quite exhausted vistahermosa and LFC for advice (or lack thereof) have decided to put complaint in about LFC-they are pretty rubbish really. VH r going to advise how much a hysteroscopy will cost out there as is likely to be £2.5k in LFC!!! If only I could go to gp but can't because of concurrent adoption applic-feel like am between a rock and several hard places. Good job I have u guys to support me and keep me sane(is...

Hi Beriom it's interesting to hear that the fostering people are ok about u going for ivf-it's quite a different story with adoption, where they want u to have "grieved" and "got over" the fact that u can't have birth children before u can even start the process. This is partly the reason we're in such a pickle now because if we go the nhs for anything to do with fertility, the adoption authorities will be able to find out we're not finished with all of that and could send us away for another ye...

Hi beriom not sure I've really got the energy (or the cash)to start the whole process again with fiv and we would need extra tests there cos vistahermosa only do the bare minimum.I agree with u that fiv would b unlikely to advise and/or prescribe me anything without doing all the tests first. Am feeling pretty down about it all today-just don't know what to do. We are also being given the runaround by adoption authorities (we're not telling them we might still do egg dontion as well) and the vis...

Hi Nat maybe I should ring FIV-how honest do you think I should be? Do you think I should say am thinking of having egg donation there and ask what their advice would be?don't you think they would say I needed a consultation? Any news on the CT scan? Hope xx

Hi Nat It never rains but it pours-hope they get u sorted out soon.Have they said if the infection is related to the egg donation? Vistahermosa have got back to me-the doctor there says there's no need to treat my thick lining and that sometimes it just takes a while for the endometrium to recover. Not sure (again) whether to believe them or LFC in London who won't treat me (as they say I'm VH's patient) but suggested a course of either the pill or progesterone. I have some progesterone left ove...

Hi mtxu I emailed Isida clinic in Kiev last night and whilst it's fairly easy and not too expensive to get there from here (have been there for work) they are charging: "egg donation is 3951 euro , ICSI is 490 euro, plus supporting services for foreign patients are 372 euro, including transportation from airport and back, interpreter's assistance. communication via e-mail , this sum does not include the cost for the medications for the recipient." (presumably this does include the meds for the d...

Tell me about it! Am feeling really quite angry about LFC(it's the clinic in London mtxu not the Spanish clinic) but I also feel like I have very little faith in vistahermosa any more.I mean we were in the clinic for a consultation in July but the doctor there said there was no point scanning me but if he had he'd have seen that my lining was too thick and I wouldn't have had to waste £750 finding that out (and nothing else), instead he just glibly said I needed a myomectomy but didn't say where...

Absolutely-hang on in there Nat-friday's really soon! You can do it . We've had another disappointment-uk fs at Lfc has refused to treat my thick lining and has told me to ask vistahermosa to treat it. I am disappointed because I've paid LFC £750 over the last month (1 consult, 2 scans, 1 biopsy) and now she's saying she's not treating me. Not sure how much I'd have to pay for that...Also, during the biopsy, the doc thought he could see a polyp but this is not mentioned in either the scan report...

Hi ladies nat-I understand how you feel-we've also had so many knocks/disappointments along the way too-sometimes I get really angry about it (because it isn't fair) but mostly I hurt inside and put a brave face on it. Lets hope it's the real hormones and not the progeffik that's making your skin lovely and clear-it's impossible to know if you're having symptoms or not in 2ww cos u become obsessed with every little thing but hang on in there Nat and lets hope that this cycle is your cycle. I had...

Hi ladies fingers crossed for today lolo-ru doing a poas or a blood test? Looking forward to hearing all about you et experience nat. Mtxu-what's the deal with egg donation in USA?is there donor anonimity? Are you likely to have to wait long for a donor?is it much more expensive than Spain?whatever u decide I wish u lots of luck!!! I spoke to my uk clinic yesterday and the good news is that there is no sign of endometrosis, hyperplaesia(swelling) or malignancy so that's good right? I only spoke t...
