A Real Eye Opener..

Hey hun You are right in thinking there is no cure for endometriosis but I think that is largely due to no one actually understanding what causes it. There are a lot of treatments available and everyone reacts completely different to each treatment. It will probably take a long time but eventually you will find something that works for you.

Hot flushes, no sweating and bloods

I also get the Hot Flushes they're horrible and sometimes can get really painful from being so hot. I have had them for years and it is because of being menopausal. Try not to worry about it to much!

painful bowels!!!

Hey hun! Go back to your GP and demand another opinion and demand to see a gynae! You will have to be forceful about this! I got misdiagnosed with IBS for years before I got diagnosed with Endo! It's not nice. Yes everything you mentioned about the painful bowel movements etc could be down to IBS but the ovaries I'm not so sure of. It sounds move than just IBS to me but hey I'm no doctor. You know your body better than anyone. If something isn't right tell them and keep telling them.

pain in right ovary feeling unwell

Get yourself back to your Docs hun! Demand that you get some answers and refuse to leave until you have got somewhere. Its horrible but it has to be done. I don't know your back ground, have you had any surgery? The pains your describing sound like I used to get when my ovaries were stuck down with scar tissue. It was absolutely agonising. I really feel for you

Endo on Bowels

Yeh with bowel surgery you will find it very difficult when needing the loo again after. Obviously with them not doing much if anything to your bowel you shouldn't be too bad but I know when I had my bowel resection done I spent 48 hours without being able to eat anything and then when I was allowed to eat it was a further 2 days before anything moved and because of the painkillers everything was really slow again anyway. Good luck hun. Amy- I assumed everyone had the same thing, lol o well .. i...

Endo on Bowels

Wow thats different having pre-op on the phone? Do you not need to have xrays and ECG's and bloods done before you have an op or is that just me with my long medical history?

Endo on Bowels

Hey hun.. In my experience they will have it waiting for you 2moro ... lucky you!! Even though your just having a lap I would be very surprised if they don't give it to you just in case they manage to nick your bowel which if not prepped could cause a lot of problems which I'm sure your well aware of. I would mention it at your appointment even if they don't they will tell you for definate whether you need it.

A song I found helped......

I cant remember where I found that to be honest. First time I watched it I sat n sobbed my heart out and n felt like someone had taken the words out of my mouth!! I love Kellie Coffey she is amazing. Truly. I have since showed it to mum who sat crying and my friends who have now become a lot more careful around me ... I dont get "there are other options" and such line anymore. I still cry everytime I hear it. And written by a woman who know, she struggled for years before having her babies.

Hey ... Just want to reiterate what Amy said actually. Having had a hysterectomy and my ovaries removed you will no where near be ready to go back to work after 6 weeks. You will need the 3 months at least. After the surgery you are not even allowed to lift a kettle for 10 days!! Make sure your good to yourself and you do take it easy. It's a huge step. Take it easy hun

High hormone levels?

At a guess progesterone but not 100% sure. I have endometriosis and have had countless many hormones treatments one of which I'm almost certain made my body think it was pregnant and gave me more progesterone. Hope someone comes along who can answer your question for you

Can Endo Affect Bowels ??

I cant keep tramadol down it makes me violently sick whenever I try to take it. Euch! Luckily Codeine works wonders for me! If you know you need a LAP and your GP will send you to a gynae for 1 why are you avoiding doing it? Surely its better to get it sorted and they might get rid of the endo therefore getting rid of the pain? If your PCT are happy to send you to a gynae for a lap I wouldnt be to hasty about switching PCT's just yet, even if they dont tell you what you want to hear on weds. You...

Can Endo Affect Bowels ??

Amy, they cant diagnose Endo via blood tests no. As you have had a lap before and you know you have endo I cant see why on earth they did the blood tests. Did you ask? Endo is incurable. If you have it once, you always have it. Sometimes its sort of in remission when treatment works but its something that never completely goes away and you can always relapse with it. I'm surprised that they are not checking your bowels tbh and I would be inclined to ask why theyre not and to ask if they intend t...

Bleeding After BD'ing

Hi I used to bleed after BD'ing and I've never had a period. They still are unsure where the blood was coming from but were never too worried so please dont panic to much. Speak to your consultant if it will put your mind at ease but as far as im aware it is just something that happens with some endo sufferers.
