Feeling it all again!

hi! I can utterly relate to that feeling you are describing! I get it even when looking at families of more than 3! I see pictures of my friends with their 2, 3 , 4 children and I get that horrible sensation of jealousy and sadness. I think of my grand mother who had 5 children, my mother who had 5 children, most of my brothers and sisters who have a minimum of 3 and think...why me??? I think these are feelings that will never go away...we will always carry that sadness around with us at least t...

What do you say when people ask when you are having baby number 2??!!

Hi girls, Hope you don't mind me butting in...it just feels like this is a thread I can completely relate too. I have always been pretty honest about my situation...the difficult ones to answer are the people that I don't really know very well, or more the people to whom it would be inappropriate to tell... My dd's school teachers for instance. Last week my dd's school teacher made another comment about how dd would love a sibling...when is it going to happen? I had to set her clear - and say un...

FET and Immunology

Morning ladies! I have already posted this same thread on the FET section, but thought it might be better answered here??? So, I am due to have FET in December. My last 2 and a bit cycles (a bit refers to abandoned cycle!) I have used clexane, prednisolone, aspirin and intralipids. The first time round was under the care of Dr George in CARE manchester, the second and a bit times round I used his protocol (after talking to him and acertaining that he wouldn't change the protocol), but under the ...

Antibiotics after EC

Thanks Deedee and Lalazig, Lala - no i have not had them for any other cycle. He did give them to me once when I was already well into my 2ww as my temp was rising...another significant clue I think that my implantation failures are related to immunology! Deedee - that info has helped a lot and has eased my mind! Thanks! I shall be a good patient and start taking them!

Antibiotics after EC

Hi All, Just wondering if anyone has experiece of being prx Antibiotics after EC. I am a repeat implant failure and am on steroids, intralipids, clexane etc for immunity issues. What does/do people think of taking antibiotics. The antibiotics couldn't confuse my embies with biotics could they and go in and kill them. I have been px Augmentin.... I should start tonight, but am very dubious about it.

** TRYING AGAIN CHATTER **

H Flump, I hope your appointment in August goes well...but having to wait all that time to find out the results of all your tests is appalling. Not being in the UK and not having first hand NHS experience I don't know if that is the norm, but nevertheless I think it is terrible that you shouldn't be told what you are dealing with until months later. I know exactly what you mean about the frustrations of seeing everyone else going on for No 2....I am just thankful at least I have No 1. It does ch...

Long/short - generally confused!!

Hi girls, thank you all very much for your answers! It all makes perfect sense now! Jenine - That does sound like the short protocol. I think that your doctor is just expecting you to respond well to Stimms. the Injections that you will be taking after will be to stop you ovulating and are considered a type of down reg (I think). If you respond well, then you could well have EC on days 9-10..although I think that is very quick. Just make sure your clinic writes everything down for you and you ar...

Long/short - generally confused!!

Hi All, Kate - Did you figure out what protocol you are on yet? I am not much help I'm afraid, maybe if you gave me a list of the meds that you will be on, then I could help you more. I have always done the long protocol, but think for my next tx I will be doing the short protocol. I am a little confused though, there is a lot of reference to the short protocol taking about 4 weeks from start to finish...but do you stimm for longer? How does it get to 4 weeks...??? Not sure if anyone is still fo...

Cetrotide - poor stimm response - anyone with experience?

Thanks for all your responses...sounds promising I think! I will also be on Puregon probably near enough max dose starting on 400iu. Am I right in thinking that with Cetrotide it is always with the short protocol - No down Regulation? Sammy I am sorry to hear that you haven't been blessed with your miracle yet - I am sure it is just around the corner. I was looking at your weight ticker - Are we twins???? Oh and Yes, I have a diary, it is the Trying Again Section...it would be lovely to see you!...

Cetrotide - poor stimm response - anyone with experience?

Hi, Quick history - i am about to embark on my 7th, and most likely final, fresh tx of IVF. For each cycle my response to stimms has been ever decreasing results with ever increasing dosages. I have been pretty much on the maximum dosage and last tx in January only got 2 eggs! So this cycle my Dr has suggeted Cetrotide. Does anyone have any good things to say about this drug in relation to getting a better stimm result? Thanks in advance!

** TRYING AGAIN CHATTER **

Thanks Alibird! Well I have spoken to DH and I managed to divert a paddy! And although he is less than happy with what I want to do, I don't think he is going to stand in my way! Woohoo . So now I just have to get the meds sorted, let the cons know that we are good to go. To be honest, I am not going to get my hopes up, with 5 failures behind me it is hard not to. Also for my sanity and my families sanity it is better I remain realistic about it.... it's a long shot, but still worth a try! Ali -...

** TRYING AGAIN CHATTER **

Hi Newyearhopes, welcome to this lovely thread where we can feel free to say we want more. A quick update from me, more detailed in my diary, but basically need to talk to DH about trying again as i saw my cons yesterday....and he said the only way to know if I have any ovarian reserve left is to start stimms....but my problem is dh....last time we talked was a few months ago and he had a big paddy and it resulted in us not talking for a few days. I hate arguing with him, but I won't have a choi...

** TRYING AGAIN CHATTER **

Thanks Ali! I am quite nervous about the outcome. It could well be that he will tell me it is time to knock it on the head in which case I will have to close the door to this chapter in my life. I have no idea how I will be feeling this time tomorrow...and then of course, if he says it is worth still trying, then I will end up having arguments with DH...which ever way it goes, i think I have a bumpy ride ahead of me. Thanks for you thoughts though! Will update tomorrow!
