Egg sharing

Hi, I'm at CRGW and after 3 failed attempts at ICSI (only 1 with CRGW), we are going to be using donor eggs. I am very grateful that I will get to receive someone's eggs and it gives us such hope. My AMH levels are very low, about 2.8 from memory. So to all ofmyounwho donate eggs I want to say a huge Thank you. Becky

CRGW Cardiff - Egg Donation

Hi First time in posting in the CRGW forum after transferring from BCRM in Bristol earlier this year. We've just had another failed ICSI and have been recommended to have donor eggs. Going to go for it upon our return from holiday in July, it's a lot more expensive but I feel it's our only hope. Weirdly we've had perfect eggs at each stage but I think my age,38, can't help. Anyone had any experience with receiving eggs via the CRGW? Thanks

Bristol Centre for Reproductive Medicine

Hi All Waiting times at the BCRM seem to be getting longer.......... Snoopy - BIG congratulations to you, wonderful news xxx Joanne B - which clinic in Barcelona was it and would you recommend? Someone has suggested the CERAM in Marbella. I don't know whether to look at going abroad or look at seeing a private Spire fertility specialist in Bristol. We just had our first unsuccesful ICSI treatment and I've received the follow up appointment to see the Dr to discuss this and its not until the 20 0...

Bristol Centre for Reproductive Medicine

Hi All Thanks for your support girlies, much appreciated. Snoops, how are things? Hope all OK? Saw the Dr, who is lovely, told us to go for ICSI and we'll see the nurse in approx 10 days to have the planning / dates. I'm lacking in any positive thinking and think it was hearing that actually IUI isn't going to be our option but instead I have a few issues too (as well as hubby) so ICSI is a better option. This will sound totally pathetic and dramatic but I feel like its not going to happen, we w...

BCRM

Hi Girls This thread has been alittle quiet for a while, wondered how all the Bristol BCRM's are getting on? I've got another appt with the Dr next week and they / we'll decide if we should try IUI or go straight to IVF. I've had a hysterstraplanogam (or however you spell it!!) and that seemed to be OK according to the nurse who did it, so we go back and then decide what treatment to start. How likely is it that you can conceive with IUI? Does anyone know anyone who conceived with their first at...

Bristol Centre for Reproductive Medicine

Hi All We now have a date, mid April, for our first appointment at the BCRM, We've already had all the blood and SA tests that we need and the BCRM have been sent these by our Dr. Can someone tell me what to expect at the first appointment ? and then what happens from here? Our initial results suggest that I'm 'ok' but Hubby has the issues. When would we be likely to start any treatment? Grateful for your help as always, Thanks Franky

Hi

Hi Clarissa Welcome ! I totally empathise with you as I so just want to be a mum too and all around me my friends are having babies and people say to my husband and me 'ohh it'll be you next!' - its hard to not strangle people when they say that !! I'm healthy but we have male factor issues and are waiting to be seen by our local hospital. Its been a long old wait and I'm feeling pretty sad about it at the moment. PM if you need anything, even if its just a rant or grumble at any time, Franky

Bristol Newbie saying hello

Hi Joanne B Thank you for your message (and to everyone else who has made me feel welcome). Its great to meet another Bristol bod on here. I'm feeling pretty pants at the moment and actually feel a bit like a balloon that if you pop me I'll end up sobbing !! My sister in law told me on the weekend that she was pregnant, I'm delighted for her and her husband but felt devastated inside - which I know is very selfish, but genuinely I felt heartbroken for myself. I know I need to snap out of it as w...

Bristol Newbie saying hello

Hi All Thanks for making me so welcome on this board, I'm glad I stumbled across this site as its made life easier! We saw our Dr yesterday who has agreed she will definitely refer us after we waited so patiently for 2 years, so letter being sent to the Bristol Repro centre and I have to sit back and wait. Issues seems to be with DH, volume, concentration and the shape (not many 1 head / 1 tail). Came away but felt a bit flat about the lack of friends I have who actually care about how I might b...

Moonshine and Lilla Thank you for such nice mesages and great advice, it is much appreciated ! I will definitely take up your tip about asking my Doctor for copies of test results and making sure I've had all the necessary tests done before I go ( I think I've had everything but will check). Being at this stage I feel more positive, knowing that very soon I'll actually be one step closer to my dream of having a family..... although I am still being realistic that it may not happen, I have to say...

A newbie

Hi milkshake! Welcome, I also joined this website today and already have been impressed with how friendly everyone is. Goood luck with your ISCI, we've not started our treatment yet but see the Dr next Weds to get referred after waiting 2 years, I've had my tests done by the Dr though and they were OK so I think the issue may be hubbies S. Wishing you lots of luck, Franky74

Bristol Newbie saying hello

Hi All I found this website yesterday and have decided to register as I feel I could do with some support and utilise some of the expertise / information that seems to be available here. Plus everyone seems so friendly ! I've been TTC for 2 years, I'm 36 and H is 32, we've had some initial tests and H is waiting for the results of his 2nd sperm test as the first one suggested 1 area was low.... not really clear what the issue was as the Dr talked lots of technical jargon and despite asking twice...

New Bristol Joiner!

Hello Everyone My first post here after stumbling across this website yesterday. I've been trying for 2 years and am due to see my Doctor next week to initiate the referal, when I believe we'll then be heading towards BCRM. I have asked to be referred sooner but my Dr was very clear she couldn't refer me until 2 years had passed (I'm 36, Hub is 32). I've had one M/C 15 months ago and nothing since so I am hopeful that BCRM could help us but had a sudden terrible thought last night about actually...
