So Confused

Thankyou all for taking time to reply to me, at the weekend we have decided that what is best for us is to have some counselling to make me a little stronger mentally and then maybe I might be able to reach a desicion, not having a family is not an option I just have to consider my self and my husbands wellbeing and whether we can take the pressure of another IVF cycle. Thnak you all so much for you advice and its nice to know that Im not on my own, because sometimes thats just how I feel. Thank...

So Confused

Hi everyone, thought I would write on here to see if things become clearer for me as I write it down because right now i really dont know what to do. Im 36 years old and have had 3 failed IVF attempts, chose IVF as my remaining tube is severley scarred and I have had cervical cancer, so convceiving naturally is impossible for me. The thing is I am now at a crossroads as to whether to try again for a 4th attempt and hope that it might work, or do I consider adoption?? Any advice on adoption woul...

Newbie!!

Hi Neetie What a pain in the arse this is for you, they can be so cold and so unsympathtic some of those people in hospitals they have no idea of what we are going through. Go and have a rant at your doc, will make you feel a whole lot better xx

Newbie!!

Neetie I thought 40 was the cut off point for IVF on the NHS, does your area not entitle you to have an attempt on the NHS?? Your doctor should be able to give you all this info, definately go and ask them, and check it out. We are in our 3rd cycle of IVF at the moment and have had to pay for this one, costs roughly about 4-5 grand, clinics differ on price. But this site is fab for all your questions and emotional support, so sending lots of love on your journey xx Kerrie xx

Bit of a concern

Hi, On day 20 of day regulation and due to go for baseline scan on Tuesday, am a little concerned as I can feel a small lump on the left hand side 2 inches across and about and inch down from my belly button, could this be my ovary and has anyone else had this before when down regulating? Any info woud be great. Thanks

Too good to be true

Please tell me I heard it correctly, are ALL (meeting the criteria) women in Wales entiltled to 2 attempts at IVF on the NHS, I have already had one go and that failed, so from April will I be entitled to another go?? So there is no postcode lottery anymore. Oh i do hope so, dont wanna get my hopes up just incase.

Egg collection

hello, yes they have given us that option to freeze ours for a year, but what I was confused about was that on here I read somewhere that as soon as they had their eggs fertilised they were been frozen immediately b4 the initial embryo transfer!!! Its probably me getting my wires crossed and not reading it properly, thanks ever so much for your info though. I can see through the haze a bit now xxx
