TTC number 2 and disappointed already!

Hi everyone, I'm ttc my second child after almost 6 years. I've been off the pill for just over a year but we haven't been actively "trying" as my cycle was all over the place at the beginning - just like last time. Anyway, for the last 5 months my cycle has settled into a regular 26 days cycle so we decided to begin trying this month. My last AF was on 2nd Jan and today (sorry if TMI) when i've wiped i have had a small amount of bleeding. So, first month of trying and we've got a random cycle o...

Newbie!!!

Hi there, First of all, be proud of yourself for finding the courage to look into your fertility further. That first step of admitting there may be a problem and seeking advice was one of the hardest things I had to do at the time. It took me a long to find the courage to go to the doctor but in the end its the best thing to do. While ttc my daughter I found the support and understanding from this forum immensely useful and comforting. Whenever you need some support (be it in the middle of the n...

Kind of Newbie!

Hi everyone, Its been a few years since I was active on the site. So, not sure if there will be many people around that I know or remember. A wee bit about me. My DP and I were ttc for over 3 years and after having my tubes successfully unblocked I conceived naturally. My gorgeous girl was born in 2007 and is 6 next month. We've been through quite a lot as a family and have attempted at points to ttc again but something has always got in the way and our plans have had to be put on hold. Anyway, ...

I'm back and trying again!

Hi everyone, Its been a long time since i've posted here and been involved with the site. Things just got messed up for a bit and found it hard to be on here. My DP and I separated 3 days after christmas 2008 and were apart for 10 months. We got back together this time last year and we have rebuilt our life and relationship. A mixture of him not coping with the responsibility of having a family and not dealing with my problems and my struggle with post natal depression drove us apart but we have...

Nighttime pull ups

well its been a long time since there was a post in this forum and a long time since i've posted! Just a quickie. Isla has been daytime dry since a month after she was 2. She is now 3 and 3 months and is still really wet in the morning. She doesnt seem to be making any progress at all at night. Is this normal? And any tips for getting her off her pull ups? Michelle x

Sleeping advice

Hi, For a wee while now Isla has decided that she doesnt want to go to sleep in her bed. I've done the wrong thing and let her come into my bed and now we're stuck in a rut. When she goes to bed she goes in my bed and I "have" to lie there and pretend i'm going to sleep until she falls asleep, then i get up and lift her and put her in her bed. She then comes back through to my bed at around 4am and sleeps there til morning! She's totally in control when it comes to bedtime and i've just gave in ...

Help

I would make an appointment and see the doctor Debs and ask they're advice. When my dd was born i was using the same bottles as you are and to be honest, they were the cause of the beginnings of colic. They didnt do anything to help her one bit. I also tried avent bottles and they made her even worse! I found in the end, after buying many different kinds of bottle, that the cheaper the better! All the more expensive "brand" name bottles caused her a large amount of discomfort. In the end we used...

the things that make you smile

I'm always telling Isla that she has to put her coat on because its cold outside, or you cant go out in the garden today because its cold outside etc etc. She now thinks that outside the house is actually called "the cold outside"! For example yesterday it was really sunny and she said to me "mummy its sunny in the cold outside today!" Makes me laugh so much

scan question

I think they can tell from 16 weeks as you can book a private scan from then to find out. Are you getting another one at 20 weeks? If you're getting one then i would ask at this scan and then at the 20 weeks one to double check as everything is a bit clearer at that scan!

First shoes ????

I got Isla her first shoes from Clarks. She had them when she was walking round the furniture. They have two different kinds of first shoes. I cant for the life of me remember what they are called but the first kind is for when they are first beginning to walk and then another set for when they are more steady on their feet. I only ever had them on isla at first when we were walking up and down the path with me holding her hands etc. Like you, i dont like their wee feet to be in shoes for too lo...

Still bleeding

This is completey normal hun. Its more likely that it is the continued bleeding after having your baby but it can be normal to have an af this early too. From my experience i bled for around 8 weeks on and off then had a period 2 weeks later. My bleeding for the 8 weeks was light at some points but then heavier at others. Hope this helps xx
