Intralipids when having tx abroad

Yeah Healthcare at Home do them. That's how I had my intralipids administered with my immune cycle at Care but I'd heard they don't accept prescriptions from clinics abroad. I will do more investigating... Plenty of time.

Intralipids when having tx abroad

Thanks Elsie. That's great that the clinic in Spain do it there for you. So much easier. I wish Serum did that too. And thanks also Maria. I knew the Londin clinics do intralipids but we're in South Yorkshire so it's still a way to go. Plus I'd imagine it's very expensive in those clinics. Appreciate your replies. X

Intralipids when having tx abroad

We are planning further tx after the summer next year and, although nothing is set in stone yet, we are considering going to Serum in Athens. As I have immune issues, and need intralipid treatment, does anyone know what would happen with that? Presumably it'll be prescribed by Serum but how/where would I get it administered? Thanks in advance.

Trouble getting meds from prescription from Greece

Thanks everyone. I actually emailed Penny today and then Maria contacted me to say she has posted out the hard copy for me. Thanks so much for the info and advice though as it'll definitely be useful in the future. Much appreciated.

Trouble getting meds from prescription from Greece

Thank you for your reply. The drugs we've been prescribed are drugs which are readily available in the uk already so there wouldn't be any need for a uk equivalent would there?

Trouble getting meds from prescription from Greece

Hi, We have recently had the infection testing done through Serum IVF clinic in Greece and one of the tests came back positive. Today they emailed me a private prescription through but two pharmacies have refused to dispense the drugs claiming that they need the original prescription but also trying to make out we're being 'ripped off' etc. I know I could go and see my gp and try to get them to prescribe the antibiotics I need on the NHS but I can't get an appointment for over a week and want to...

Help

Hi Mollie, I can't believe what a stressful and confusing time you're going through. I can't imagine how difficult it must be for you. Fingers crossed that the next scan shows good news and maybe then you can start to relax and enjoy a little more.

BFN's, MMC and chemical pregnancy. Still hope?

Not sure this is the best place to post this but I was wondering if anyone had gone on to have success and get their dream come true after BFN's, a MC or MMC and a chemical pregnancy which is what we've experienced so far. This has been from four fresh cycles and the only thing to really change is that the fourth cycle was using donor sperm as fertilisation rates using DH's were poor. I'm concerned there might be immune issues and need to ask about this at my review. I'm also worried that late i...

Metformin and tiredness

I agree that I felt more tired once I started taking Metformin. It does ease off though - or maybe I've just got used to it. Hope it eases for you too. X

Early blastocyst

Hi was just wondering if anyone who has had a blastocyst transfer on day 5 was told that their blasto was an 'early blastocyst' when transferred and still got their BFP? Some success stories would be great please! Thanks. x

If you've got PCOS, what dose of stims were you on?

Hi Chava, I have P.C.O.S too and so on my first cycle the clinic were very wary of keeping me on a lower dose so I wouldn't get OHSS. For that first cycle I too had Gonal F and started on a dose of 112.5. After my scan on day 6 of stimms they upped my dosage to 150 and then after my day 8 scan they upped the dosage again to 225 then I went back to 150 and alternated like that until I was ready for EC. It took a little longer to get to EC this way (I think I stimmed for 14/15 days) but at least I...

What is the shortest amount of time anyone has D/R'd for?

Thanks Hayley. x Shell, let's hope AF is on the way. If she comes in next few days you will definitely be able to start on Weds. xxxx

Thanks Morvc. xx Shell, you usually do need to bleed before starting stimms I'm afraid. That generally is the main sign you have successfully down regged. What date have you been given for starting stimms? My date for starting was usually always 2 days after the scan so if your AF came on scan day for example you would probably be able to start a couple of days after that. x

What is the shortest amount of time anyone has D/R'd for?

You should have a bleed during down reg Shell, yes. The drugs can delay it a little though like on my first cycle. My cycles are longer too and can range from 29-36 days. On my first ICSI cycle I started down reg on 23.12 and had my scan booked for 4.1. AF only showed on 3.1 so when I went for scan they just did bloods instead but that showed I had down regged ok. On my second cycle I started down reg on 10.5 and AF came on 18.5. My scan wasn't until 24.5. This time I started 19.12 and AF came 2...

Shell, 14 days is pretty normal hon. Some people who D/R for longer may be people who don't respond as well to the drugs and it takes them a bit longer to 'shut down'. Chatterbox - I know! I'm just a worrier.

Thanks ladies. That has reassured me lots. Like I said, I know the clinic know what they're doing and I'm seen as a 'pro' by them with it being my third time and I think you're right that they do try to fit things in with their schedule. x
