Hi, not long since we found out we would need extra help

Hi katie, I'm also a belfast girl, and I too have pcos - we were originally referred to rfc due to my issue but my 1 piece of advise would be not to hang your hat on pcos being the only reason for your if issues, hopefully for you it is but basically when we went for our 1st appt we were told if pcos was our only issue then it could be sorted relatively easily, when you go to rfc they will also make an appt for your dp to have a semen analysis and also day 3 bloods to check your hormone level, o...

Kirlou, I got a lovely playsuit in the new look sale, strapless, orange and white - really pretty for my hols and a bargain at 7 quid! Male Factor Infertility - varicocele??

Hi Paul I hadnt realised you'd answered my post and thank you whole-heartedly for your thorough response. I have only had day 3 bloods done as the fs decided it was not worth doing a lap and dye based on dh's results. I have been pushing for further investigations though and atm am waiting on day 23 bloods to be done - I have also been advised to do opks to detect if im ovulating (and I have used these in the past and always get an lh surge more or less when im meant to) Doc said based on these ...

Hi, not long since we found out we would need extra help

Hi Kirlou xxx Hey lollygirl Sorry to hear your in the same position as us, IF is such a lonely journey and im glad we've found each other for support. Hopefully we can all get to know each other a bit better and create a nice wee support system through the ups and downs of this horrible place we're at! One thing that i've been thinking about is that all 3 of our dh's have really crappy sa results but all 3 of us have had healthy pregnancies with perfect los at the end of it - so if these problem...

Hey kirlou! Sorry its taken me a while to get back to you! As luck would have it my dd stood on my laptop and has mangled the screen so I'm having to post from my bb no mean feat! LOL - how are you today? Did u find out anymore @ varicocele? Do u think it might be something that affects your dh? Hi, not long since we found out we would need extra help

lol - my mum is such a trendy granny - shes far more computer savvy than me - always online, fbing and youtubing lol! I'd love to get a wee labrador pup for dd but with us both out at work i dont think it would be fair to leave a wee dog by itself all day, pity you cant get maternity leave for getting a pet - I am pretty lucky to get on well with inlaws, well i get on with half of them heehee, though now i just limit the amount of time i have to spend with them and i think thats what keeps the p...

Question about 1st icsi and embryos...

Prob a really stupid q - but (and considering we've only just been put on the waiting list for NHS funded) - when we go for ICSI and because of our age (me 29, dh 31) I presume its SET for us, say there are other healthy embryos there after they put back 1, what happens to them??? Are they frozen, discarded, if you need to go again do they use them??? So does the cost of your ICSI come down cos you already have embryos there? Anyone any ideas or am I being very naive @ the whole thing?? xx

Snowman - EXACTLY! Mfi has almost torn us apart! I have at times (embarrassingly and undoubtedly selfishly) been so ANGRY with him (actually embarrassed to admit that) but for a while every time my period came I was sort of like ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been mourning all the little children I could already picture being here, I could almost hear wee voices that dont even have the potential to exist anymore because if our funded chance at ICSI doesnt work theres no...

Hi, not long since we found out we would need extra help

Hun we could never afford icsi either - we are EXTREMELY lucky that we live in a hsc that gives you 1 nhs funded shot at icsi regardless of whether or not you already have a child. Sorry for the delay in replying to you btw - was just chatting to my mum (who is 63!) on fb!! lol - im actually in tears ([prob cos of the wine!) cos she just told me if she was in my position she'd go for the ICSI - totally shocked!!!!! In laws are generally a pain!!! LOL - im quite lucky - i get on really well with ...

Hi, not long since we found out we would need extra help

i know exactly what you mean re: made with love but not by it we've been trying for another since my lo was 2, i of course thought it was me who had the problems because i suffer from pcos, but all indications are that it doesnt affect my o'ing - i even joked to consultant when we first were referred to fertility clinic that dh must have supersperm to get me pg in the 1st instance cos at that stage i was 13 and a half stone (and im only 5ft) and was only having af every 3/4 months! What about yo...
