I'm confuzzled

I hope so too! I'm currently compiling a list of things to ask him about, there's just so much to get through & the letter he sent has completely thrown me. Only 4 days to go Thanks Runningmum x

I'm confuzzled

Tuesday 3rd hun & it's the only day 2 test I've had done. I don't know what to think at the moment, and the waiting is a pain but in 5 days time we'll know where we stand x

I'm confuzzled

Hi Eeyore. Thanks for your reply. My EST was 91, which again, makes me confused about it apparently being normal. I wonder what he'll say next week. x

I'm confuzzled

Thanks Verity hun. Eeyore, it was a day two test & absolutely everything I'd read said that LH/FSH should be about the same & that FSH of 12 was considered to be not brilliant. Hence the confuzzlement. It's ok if no-one has any answers for me, I'm just voicing my thoughts ( & saving my sanity) until I can speak to the consultant next week. We've waited to see him since January, another 6 days is nothing.

Adoption whilst in the Forces???

I have no idea about the age thing but the SSAFA should be able to help you. I have nothing of real use to add, except to wish you all the best x x Amanda

I'm confuzzled

Had a letter from my consultant today, in response to one I sent him asking him if an LH of 6 & FSH of 12 was cause for concern. He's written back & said no, I can "be reassured that these results are completely normal". He's recommended Wellman capsules for hubby to try & improve the morphology but also said it's nothing to worry about. So now I'm totally confused ( & very cautiously optimistic) & even more anxious to see him in person. Only 6 days to go til our appointment now. After the abnor...

BFN

I'm really sorry to hear about your BFN hun. You sound like you've had a really rough ride. I won't insult you & pretend that I know how you're feeling either, as I've yet to start my IVF journey but I can sympathise with the friends thing too. Big hugs, only you can decide what's best for you, but I'd imagine that some time to recover, emotionally & physically is in order for now x x x

IVF with no normal smear result

Thanks for your replies, sorry Panda for hi-jacking your thread. How are things going now for you? I've pretty much accepted that they'll need a clear result first, which after all is no bad thing. Yes I want a baby but I also want to be in tip top health. I'm thinking about asking for colposcopy treatment to make sure that we get that clear result at the end of this year. thanks again Amanda

just new to this

Hi Tracy, welcome to the site. I think private is a lot quicker than NHS, I'm in the same boat as Winter - having been referred by my GP in December 09 & after a load of tests, me & my hubby are FINALLY seeing an NHS consultant in a couple of weeks to discuss our results & talk about where we go from here. If there's one thing I've learned so far about the TTC journey is there's a whole lot of waiting involved but this site & the people on here are amazing & will help keep you sane in your (hope...

Lost my PMA

Thank you so much for your lovely words ladies I do run regularly, it helps keep me sane & has become a lot more fun since I joined a running club as well. Just got back from a 4 mile easy run through the countryside , I feel a lot better than I did earlier. I do like the idea of boxing though RunningMum, might have to give that a go Sorry , I was just having one of those days, but thanks so much for being there, it means a lot x

Lost my PMA

Is it just me or do we all get like this sometimes? Lately it feels like we've had set back after setback & we haven't even been referred to a clinic yet... My FSH/estradiol levels are elevated, then we found out that hubby's sperm stick together & then a couple of weeks ago, I was given a borderline smear result which, depending on what the hospital consultant says in 3 weeks, could well mean we can't even be referred for treatment until I get a clear result (hopefully) in 6 months time. My, eh...

Feeling guilty

Hi RunningMum, I hope you're doing ok. It's really hard when friends/families have their babies & you're full of mixed emotions. Big hugs x Amanda

Asking for copies of test results

Ooh, good question. I'm also interested in the answer to this one I wonder if the clinics prefer to do their own - I think for the fsh test different clinics use different assays which can give a very different result but that's about all I know

New to this

Hi Lil How incredibly frustrating that is for you! Have you got grounds for appeal, especially if they've moved the goal posts as it were? I totally get where you're coming from though about it seeming easier to go private, the NHS funding issues just make an already upsetting experience even more stressful x

Latests sperm results

My Mr Flump had a difficult time coming to terms with his results too, it's not nice and in some ways I think it can be worse for you blokes. But you're not alone & it's not a reflection on you as a person, it's just one of those things. Have you spoken to your good lady about how you feel? It will all be worth it in the end, stay strong x
