Advice Needed Plz, Care manchester or Care notthingham

Thank you so much for your reply, and i can see from your signature the good news, congrats. i think i'll arrange a consultation with one of care manchester's doctors, any ideas as to who's the best ?? how long did you have to wait before starting treatment there, is the waiting list long ?? as i failed my ivf last week, so i guess i'll have to wait 3 months ??

I have been reading so many posts about private clinics and doctors and all the tests they do. We plan on going private now and i really want this try to work, hence the question about the clinics. have heard alot about dr. george at care nottingham and my 1st option was that but he's now leaving that clinic to go somewhere else, now i'm confused which clinic to choose, manch...

Hi Chloe, congrats on being pupo, well you are in the same boat i was in few months ago. I also had many eggs fertilized but by day3 none were suitable for freezing and they put back in 2 embryos which were of good quality and i did get pregnant with that but miscarried at 7 weeks. yes, i agree with you on that st.mary's dont do any blood tests to check on you. i remember my frustration when i was constantly spotting from 2nd week of pregnancy and was told that they just dont do any bloods or sc...

starting ivf and icsi next week and would like to discuss with others in the same situation

Hi, starting injections depend on which protocol you are doing. Short protocol- you usually start the jabs on cycle day 2 and continue having the scans and bloods until ready for egg collection. you stimm for a short period of time. i was on this protocol and i only stimmed for 9 days . Long protocol- you start this a week before AF is due usually on cycle day 21. you stimm for longer but on low doses.

starting ivf and icsi next week and would like to discuss with others in the same situation

Hi, Congratulations on starting the treatment, i know the feeling you are going through. I went through that on my 1st try and still going through them. It really is a rollercoaster ride. I'm a bit curious about the NHS waiting list, 2years is alot of time to be kept waiting. Surely the waiting times have come down to 6months, i started my treatment within 5 months of referral. Did you ask about this long wait ? The treatment depends on which protocol you;ll be doing, short or long protocol. you...

newbie just going through investigations!!

Hi Lou, I know its a very frustrating time to wait and not know what happens next. well you seem to be getting in the right direction with all the tests done so you should be referred after your hsg test. The waiting time varies honestly but you should be seen by the ivf clinic within 6 weeks. If you are going to st.mary's then i think you dont have to wait that long, i was seen by them within 6 weeks . But there are some ladies here who were seen much later than that. Also make sure you are imm...

has anyone ever heard of this?

hi coxy, sorry about the cancelled cycle. I can tell you about the 3 day transfer vs the blasto, i asked this ques to my doc, and was told that majority would like to transfer a 3day embryo since the chances of survival past that stage just decreases. Though if an embryo do get to a blasto stage it does have a good chance of implantation. I had a day3 transfer and did get pregnant with that, but sadly miscarried it. goodluck on your next cycle .
