Hi girls thanks for all of your responses! Not had the greatest couple of days I'm afraid with our little embies! Things were looking good on day 3 so we pused them on but day 4 things started to go down hill a bit! Some of the donor sperm ones had compacted, some were starting to compact but DH's ones were behind, as they have been all along! One was at the 14 cell stage though and was starting to show signs of compacting, so not too far behind! The other two of his were still 9 and 7 cell! Thi...

Hi, can i join you? I am currently going through another cycle with CARE Manchester with PGS testing! The plan is for us to get the embryos to day 5 and then have them biopsied at blast stage and then frozen for use in a subsequent cycle! Dr Sedler thought it would be better for me to have a FET cycle rather than fresh as i get so many eggs and my body isn't in a good enough state to accept the embryos in a fresh cycle. I had EC on Saturday 4th August and got 27 eggs!!! needless to say i am stil...

CARE, Manchester

Hi We got our funding transferred from St Mary's to Care by writing to our PCT! Because it's a private clinic you have to have reasons as to why you shoul have your tx at a private clinic rather than an NHS hospital, which for us was becasuse they did a procedure that my DH needed that St Mary's coludn't do! I would get in touch with your PCT and find out who you need to write to and then put together a good letter explaining why you wnat it to be transferred! Hope this helps hun xx

IMMUNOLOGY CHATTER

Hi Sarah Even when my husband had swine flu last year, i didn't catch as much as a cold from him! I never ever get sickness bugs even though i work in a school with lots of sickly little children! I had a feeling i might have these issues and i was right to be concerned! I have just had my level 2 chicago test results back and my NK cells very elevated plus a numbe rof other issues, and i am now due to start an immune protocol at the end of this month! The tests are a lot of money, but for us it...

Need help dechipering my Level 2 results! Feeling very scared about these....

Maria Thank you so much for your reply! The links have really helped me to understand this stuff!! Gosh it's very complex stuff isn't it?! I feel a bit better now, knowing that these issues are treatable! I have now also seen that there has been a lot of success on here with people with similar issues who have gotten their BFP's! Fingers crossed all this extra treatment does the trick for us! I have found a conversion table for the genotypes, so i think we are the following: DH- 0102 (1.2) 0301 ...

Introduction

Hi I don't post much on here anymore, but still lurk around and saw your post so thought i'd offer my experience! Our first ICSI, only 1 of 18 my eggs fertilised due to rubbish sperm! Cons then suggested DH ate a strict antioxident diet (look up on google), which was hard at first trying to think of meals that included antioxident foods and was hard for him to cut out crisps, chocolate, sugary foods, etc, but became easy as went on! He was also advised to take Fertility Plus for men 3 times a da...

Hi girls ShelleBelle- I'm sure you will love CARE, we have had nothing but positive experiences with them, even though I have had 2 BFN's Though we know this is down to sperm issues, not through their lack of care/professionalism! Unfortunately with St Mary's you will defo only be allowed 1 embie back, as it is an NHS wide policy! At Care they avised me to only have 1 back the first time because of my age, though if i had really wanted i could of had two, as it turned out that time we only had 1...

Hi Shellebelle I know, still no sign of No we were at St Mary's but got our funding transferred to CARE! DH had a TESE at St Mary's but they found no sperm at all and said that he just didn't produce any at all, so we decided to try one last opinion and went to CARE for a private consultation! They suggested a MERC test and lo and behold they found sperm! Very small amounts (3-4 sperms per sample) but over a few MERC's enough to bank up and use for ICSI!! We then wrote to our PCT to get our fund...

Hi girls Thanks for welcoming me into this thread I have just phoned my clinic as today 'should be day 1' although the hasn't made her apprearence yet, but the problem is i still havn't received my protocol! She said they will send it out over the next couple of days and to ring back when AF does show to arrange a day 13 scan!!!! Can anyone fill me in as to what will happen? I presume i will have to use dip sticks to check for ovulation? What time scale am I looking at for ET and will i have to go in for scans, etc? CARE, Manchester

Hi Paris No there is no BMI limit at CARE! I asked this question before my tx, as mine is a bit over what it should be and they said no, weight doeasn't really have much bearing on if you will get pregnant, and that it is just another of the NHS's ways of whittling down the patients that they will treat!!! xxx
