LIT treatment

Hi Phoebe LIT really is worth the pain and itching. I'm also pregnant (27 weeks) having gone through 9 unsuccesful IVF cycles. We threw everything at it with our first cycle with Dr Gorgy and it worked. The LAD are the positive antibodies that your body produces to protect a pregnancy. By having LIT and therefore getting your body to recognise the pregnancy your body will produce lots of positive antibodies. Mine started off under 10% and went up to 50-60% after the first lot of LIT (two session...

Bit of bleeding

Hi Jambo Sorry to hear that you have had some bleeding. I hope that it has stopped. You can still have some bleeding even if everything is okay with the baby, so I will keep everything crossed that everything will settle down and your bleeding doesn't get worse. xx

Dr Gorgy

Hi MiracleBaby Sorry haven't been on here for a while so didn't realise you had your results. Sounds like your levels aren't too bad at all so hopefully intralipids and steroids will do the job but only Dr Gorgy can tell you what he feels is best. Did you have your DQ Alpha done? xx

Buying/Cost of IVIG Drugs

Hi Robin I had to take IVIG as opposed to Intralipids as my test results showed that I don't really respond to intralipdis. I have my IVIG drips at the clinic I go to (Dr Gorgy) and pay about £1300 each time. Health care at home send a nurse to your house to do it and I think they will be cheaper but I have never used them. I'm sure some others will be on here to suggest other places as well. x

Dr Gorgy

Hi Miraclebaby I've been seeing Dr Gorgy since about April last year. Like the others have said he goes through things quite quickly and you often need to ask him to repeat his questions. With my first appointment I took along a spreadsheet with me detailing all of our previous treatments, including all the details of drugs taken (on what days and dosages), no. of eggs, no of fertilised eggs, no used/frozen etc... This helped me to remember and give him all of the information needed. If you have...

** SECOND TRIMESTER CHAT **

Hi Ladies Haven’t been on here for a while as have been trying to keep myself busy trying not to worry about my immune issues. Congratulations Jasper on getting to 20 weeks! Heard my baby’s heart beat yesterday for the first time which was great – sounded like galloping to me! I got told that I have to have the glucose test as had sugar in my urine twice in a row, also had a lump, which was checked by 2 MWs and then had to go up to the hospital to be checked by a consultant. He is sure it is my ...

Really worried as CD56 shot up

Thank you Jewels You're right. It just all gets a bit too much when you are trying to be positive and not worry about everything that could go wrong. Especially when it is totally out of our control. I see you have reached 12 weeks - well done! xx

Really worried as CD56 shot up

Hi Knew our NK ASSAy retest results were back on Friday but didn't know what they were. Was told by receptionist to book in for a follow up appt with Dr Gorgy. He would then say at the appt whether we needed a drip. Just got back from a weekend away and the test results had arrived in the post. Last time the TH1:TH2 was a lot better so he didn't retest this. The CD19+ cells, CD5 + were still too high at 17.9% and he said the 50:1 at 17.7% was too high. I therefore had an IVIG drip and then had t...

Hi Ladies I am being brave and jumping to the second trimester, as 13 weeks today! Hi Mim, sounds like you have been through a lot and are still going through a difficult time. Nice that you told your dad. Poppy, so sorry to hear that you are going through such a worrying time. Take care x Curlytails, sorry that you are going through a worrying time as well. Hope you are feeling more movement now. I've been noting down the comments about the pushchairs. I imagine it is a nightmare trying to deci...

Thanks Ladies Sorry Mollie to hear that you had a scare. Good that you were able to go in straight away for a scan. Just make sure you take it easy. I was told that the nuchal scan can be done up to 14 weeks. I had to chase for my 12 week scan. Actually my DH did all the chasing as he was getting impatient! Kat, the doppler sounds good - I will check it out on Amazon. See you all soon in the second trimester x

Hi Ladies Lovely scan Jewels. That must of been scarey with the bleeding but so good that you had the scan. It's lovely seeing them move isn't it. I should really try and put my scan on here but I'm not very good at that sort of thing. I'll give it a go. Well I am 13 weeks tomorrow so I guess I will move over to the second trimester - scarey!

Hi Ladies My mw also told me that you can't pick up the heartbeat until the baby pops out from behind the pelvis, which I think she said was between 14 and 16 weeks but not sure. Jewels that belt sounds good. I think I may have read about it somewhere. You'll have to let us know what it's like once it arrives. I'm them same about the scans. Just before each one I get so worried and when I have them it's such a relief. My symptoms come and go as well. My tiredness is going although I ended up in ...

Just lost what I was typing! Welcome and congratulations Mollie! Jewels, have you had your progesterone results yet? Whiteangel, sounds like growing pains. Pregnancy is vary catching at our work. Mind you it's quite a bit company so there are always plenty of pregnant ladies wondering around. My manager's wife had her 12 week scan yesterday. She is due 3 days before me. I saw the scan and it was amazing how clear it was. I'm a bit nervous about my scan on Monday. I always start worrying a few da...
