Confusing results!

Well we went to our EPU centre today and we are as still puzzled as aver, internal scan shows nothing on my womb but there might be something in my cervix but they aren't sure what it is. They have said I have any abdo pains. Or shoulder pains to call an ambulance More bloods taken and we should find our soon, then it's another visit on Tuesday to find out what they want to do. Fingers crossed we get this sorted ASAP

Confusing results!

Hi jenny, Our consultant did mention an ectopic, he said there is a very limited chance but it is still there so if I get any abdo pain I must go straight to hospital. I just want this over with so we can move on. This was our last chance so I really want to be able to put this chapter of our life away.

Confusing results!

Heard from our consultant today and he has had my bloods back and my HGC level is 30,000 and it should be at least double that I have to go to my EPU on Sunday at 10am for another scan and more bloods, the consultant says there is something there but it's not a viable pregnancy, he thinks he saw a sac on my last scan but isn't sure hence the second scan. Hope this is over soon I really need to know X

refused ivf because of very low amh

Hi tivoli, Thanks for letting me know your good luck story, it is so encouraging to hear that it works for some people. We really aren't sure what route we are going to take next, out funds will only allow for one more try so we really have to way up our options, our consultant only gave us a 10% success rate using my eggs and after we did so badly on he last attempt it doesn't look to good. We would of course love a miracle using our eggs, but if our best option is donor would that be best? Aft...

refused treatment at st marys

Hi shin, If you can handle the drive I would ask your doctor to refer you to Leeds they don't refuse to treat due to low AMH. It's a trek but they are soooo lovely.

refused ivf because of very low amh

Hi shin, I also have low AMH 1.8 manchester refused to treat us so we went to our doctor who got us referred to Leeds. You aren't funded in Yorkshire but they will treat you with low AMH. We have had 3 attempts which haven't been successful but at least we had the option to try. We have been given the option of egg donor but this would have to be abroad (Cyprus) we are seriously considering this. We were dead against this at first but my consultant said something to us that made me think twice "...

Selling unused IVF drugs?

It's such a waste and could I am sure help someone try for that illusive BFP,it's a shame you can't loiter outside the clinics in a long overcoat and when someone walks past open the coat and try and sell them lol Soooo much money must be wasted needlessly

Low AMH

Hi tivoli25, We found out last year thatvichave low AMH 1.8 then 3.2 when retested. We have just gone through our first IVF and although we weren't successful our consultant was impressed with how well we did 1eight cell put back and to embryos to blastocyst (the first hospital we went to refused to treat us due to thenlownAMH) so he thinks we have done fantastic. He also wants us to try again and is going to put both our frosties back. I know this isn't exactly the news you wanted to hear but I...

Advice Please

Hi Julia, So sorry for your BFN I was under the impression that as long as you started IVF before you were 40 you were entitled to funding, but like maria says it all depends on your pct,we were told from the start that we had funding but because we are now under another PCT we don't have funding. It really makes me mad how they decide funding I think everyone should at least be entitled to one course funded.

Newbie in need of some advice (AMH)

Hi mandie, Soooo glad you got some positive news,it makes all the difference. We are being treated at Leeds and that have said that your AMH level is one of many factors to consider and that yes ours was low but they could work with it. (Leeds consider Ll factors not just AMH. I am really considering accuncture and my sister sent me a book that I am using like a bible at the minute it's called "the baby making bible" helped me re think a few things. What's the nettle tea good for? I have replace...

Newbie in need of some advice (AMH)

Hi Mandy, We have just got back from our review consultation and it went really well, our consultant said he was impressed with how well we did at our EG and even though they didn't retrieve a lot of eggs (7) the ones that did progress were of a very good quality. He says we are going to try FET next and we can start as soon as my next period starts (yippee). I am a lot more positive now and both me and my OH are going to have a week of being naughty beer n crisps then bA k on the wagon n health...

Newbie in need of some advice (AMH)

Hi Mandy, I have been diagnosed with low AMH 1.2 and our local hospital refused to treat us but then they asked us back for re tests and my AMH had risen (didn't think possible) they then agreed to treat us. We declined and asked to be refered to another hospital (Leeds)and we had our first cycle (unfortunately) it wasn't successful but between us we produced a 8 cell embryo which we never thought was possible,so there is always hope. We have a follow up appointment on Thursday to discuss our ne...
