Hi Hope and everyone else, Yes, I'm finally back and my visitors have left plus little man is tucked up in bed fast asleep so I'm enjoying a lovely and quiet evening all on my own. I don't know how I'm doing pregnancy wise as I had a rather substantial bleed this morning after some stabbing pains. It all came and went very quickly and now I just feel tender and there's a bit of pink discharge. Fingers crossed that it's just a one off and nothing serious. I refuse to get worried about it as that ...

Thank you for all your well wishes. I'll be abroad for the next week and don't know about web access so just assume no news is good news. Well done Nat. I've always had pain free transfers but can vividly imagine how awful that pain must be. Enjoy this lovely sunny Sunday

Hello all, Well, I have good news. The bloods came back from the lab with HCG level of 180 and progesterone level of 27 so I'm definitely pregnant. The next 8-9 weeks will hopefully pass quickly and without any complications. Hope I'm pleased you have had some good news too. I'm sure you'll get there soon. They can do wonders these days. You could try to look for a clinic which specialises in your sort of problem. They all excell in one area or another - or two!! Anyway, off to a party at the ne...

Thanks Anne, and to you too - feel free to save it for the future Nat, I take it you're back and happily relaxing. I've been having a few wine spritzers - very little wine - as it really helps me relax completely. I've also been going for long slow runs/jogs. I feel I've utterly spoilt myself. Back to reality after tomorrow. Night night all

Jiggy, I just now realise you're male. The age/problem factor is mostly related to your wife/partner as sperm doesn't really suffer from age however the eggs do

Hi Jiggy, Depending on how old you are and the reasons for you having to go through IVF/ICSI I would say it's definitely worth looking at options abroad. There are some really good clinics - we've opted for Spain but that's due to having to have donor eggs and there is no waiting lists there - but you have to do your research. If you decide to stay in the UK there are some top clinics here who specialise in difficult cases ARGC in London being the top one. They can get almost anyone pregnant but...

Oh Anne, that sounds exactly like what I did when I had early m/c in the spring. I just needed to love my little boy lots more and then it was okay actually. Probably because he was there to touch and feel in living person. I don't know - these emotions and feelings get a bit complicated at times but we all get through it and move on to the next goal post. So not to worry Anne, your little man will be a big bro in the not too distant future. Have a good evening xoxo

Spotting has stopped now!!! I went for a long run this mornig after dropping little one off at nursery. I also did loads of sit ups, arm exercises - the lot - and though if it's still not bleeding after that we might be off to something good. I'm getting a bit restless now and can't wait for Saturday. Untill now I've been really calm and not thought about it much but that's probably because time flies when I'm playing and doing mummy duties all day. I'm now going to do some gardening, meet a fri...

Oh Anne, I'm so sorry to hear your news. I've started spotting as well so I don't think those pains were implantation pains afterall - just a loooooooooooooooooooooooooong overdue period. Chins up and keep the humour going as Hope and mtxu says

Hi Anne, Hope, Nat, et al I'm glad to hear all is well with you guys despite your lining scan not being as good as you'd hoped for Hope. However as you rightly say you'll be more than ready and in tip top condition when all your uteral issues have been sorted. I bet you'll have triplets!!!!! Anne, it's wonderful that there is a heartbeat this early which means it's a strong little fighter you have onboard so STOP WORRYING and enjoy being pregnant. If it's meant to be it's meant to be if not then...

Utrogestan

Hi Lizzy, I have plenty of experience with ECs and ETs and know it doesn't really matter when you start cyclogest/utrogestan as long as you start before ET. You cannot really o/d on progesterone. I have in the past started up to 5 days before ET at the most and the day before ET at the latest so do whatever you feel like. Hope this helps.

Best of luck Hope. Glad by the way that you're fully aware of the adoption obstacles. Best of luck for that as well. GPs can be nice and considerate. I think they've just been told to save all they can on the NHS budget which is why they often drag their heels. I'm watching best of Beyonce - what a gal she is. I wish I could sing and dance like her - and look like her!!!!

Hi Hope, Oh dear, I guess I was a bit tired afterall last night - or too much vino in the garden during the afternoon Yes, my donor is totally ready so that's good news. They must have triggered her by now as I know from experience that you cannot be kept ready for long. I shall be most flattered if you think about me when you have you scan - that one made me laugh. I shall hope for a thin lining for you too. I just got back from the playground with my son. He's discovered the sand pit - I HATE ...

Hello all, Hope, it's great to hear that you don't need the op so hopefully your next attempt will be successful. If you decide to run it simultanously to adoption DO NOT tell social workers what you're doing as they normally require you to have had your last IVF/assisted reproduction attempt at least 6 months before starting the adoption process. Make sure your family, friends and who ever else they interview during your case keep schtumm as well. Nat, best of luck with obtaining the progynova....

Oh Anne, what great news. Big hugs and many congratulations. One day at a time and a nice and calm attitude to life in general will get you through this without any problems. Can't wait for all your updates. Mtxu, I think the sivamazing is a typo but then again with English not being my mother tongue I could also be missing out on some cool slang.

Egg Donation Refunding Programmes/Risk Sharing

Well we were offered the same kind of scenario at URVista in Alicante but decided to pay for each round separately. It adds up to a few thousand Euros more if we go for all three attempts but we just feel it's worth the gamble in case it works first or second time. There they consider a pregnancy anything past 13 weeks though. Best of luck xoxo

Hi ladies, Anne, there are so many signs of implantation so fingers crossed this is what our abdominal pain is all about. When can you test? SR2, we flew British Airways and Monarch to Alicante - both flights from Gatwick. You can book hotels through Expedia, Opodo, etc. Alicante is not huge so I wouldn't worry too much about staying in the outskirts if that was the cheapest option. It's a nice city to walk around in with good foot paths everywhere. We stayed at the Melia Hotel which is where VH...
