NHS FET at RFC

What a brilliant and uplifting message to read. Thank you for sharing your story. I plan to be very good to myself and my husband over the next few weeks. Us time! I'll update you. Fingers crossed I get by the scales tomorrow. I have lost inches but unfortunately I need to see it in numbers!!!

NHS FET at RFC

Gracie yeah they discharge you as NHS guidelines say you must be below 35. This is my pre treatment appointment so I don't think I'll have a few months. I think if I get by I'll be picking up my medication tomorrow to start on day 21 which is 2 weeks away. The next 6 weeks aren't bugging me as I know I'll have more weight off between now and transfer. I am determined to give me, hubby and frostie the best chance possible. I eat well and healthy all the time but the meds made me gain weight and t...

NHS FET at RFC

I'm not fussed on deferring we may as well go ahead and see what they say. I know there's not a lot I can do about it now but I wanted to be prepared for their scales weighing heavy and being discharged. I just wondered how the PTC goes for FET as there's no screening appointment. It's been a huge decision to go ahead and not defer.

NHS FET at RFC

I'm basically just wondering do they weigh at PTC? There's no screening this time and thats when it was done on the fresh cycle. My bmi is 34.5 and continually dropping but I'm afraid in case the scales weigh heavy. I'm absolutely worried sick. I gained weight with my fresh cycle and am only just managing to lose it now. Appointment is tomorrow. I should have a fair bit off come transfer as my heads in the game and I'm doing well. Just hoping I get through tomorrow. It's so so difficult.

Hi pup18. Nerve wrecking isn't it. I just don't know how I'll cope with another fail but I've got to try.

FET help me not have a mental breakdown!!!

CQCQ, how long is the cycle from your day 21 until ET? I know everyone is different but a rough idea would be great.

I think there's 2 or 3. I'll not get any more until I get my schedule at PTC. There's no screening appointment.

Thanks so much Gracie. Posts like that give me so much hope. This week has totally dragged to be able to accept treatment tomorrow. Then I'll be ringing Friday again looking for my appointment dates.

IVF counselling

I don't think it will delay your treatment as it's not a requirement. It was for us as we had to go through the legalities of using donor sperm. It took absolute ages!!! It can't hurt to try it if you feel you need it. Because it was a requirement with us it had to be signed of before we could move to the next stage which was start the waiting list.

IVF counselling

I went to the fertility counselling service and found them appalling. A total waste of my time. I had to go due to using donor sperm. In turn the counsellor delayed our treatment by 6 months by not contacting RFC to say we had completed counselling. The counsellor dragged out every word and left it months and months between appointment's. It took us 3.5 years to get to a fresh NHS icsi cycle due to all the delays with counselling. I suppose it may not be like that for you as you may have no requ...

FET help me not have a mental breakdown!!!

Thanks for replies. I'd imagine it's around the six week mark. I'm currently calling it the letter of terror as it has thrown me into all sorts of turmoil. The biggest issue is weight loss which hopefully I can do and the other is the thaw. We only have one. I'm petrified.

FET help me not have a mental breakdown!!!

How long does FET cycle usually take. We have made the decision to tell no one this time so at least we won't have all the questions and we can take it a day at a time our own way.
