Hi Care have a full breakdown of fees on their website. Each cycle has cost us about £5000 altogether but we need ICSI which adds nearly a £1000 to the bill. My doctor will only prescribe meds that arent just for IVF. Anything that is an IVF drug I have to pay for. I hope this helps

Hi I am at Care and have had CGH but that was because of embryo quality due to my advanced years ( I am 44) Unfortunately all my eggs are scrambled and we are half way through the donor process. I hope you get your answers from Dr Patel when you see him.

HELP!! Low grade embryo panic....

Hi WE had Array cgh with this cycle and the cons told us that since they have been doing this type of screening they have found that the best looking embryos are often the ones that are abnormal. He said embryos that werent so good to look at and had a bit of fragmentation were often normal and resulted in pregnancies. So the grading is just a guide unless you have thr embryo screened for abnormalities there is no way the clinics can tell whether they are normal and will result in a baby or not. ...

ARRAY CGH STORY

Hi This is the screening we had and Mark Sedlar is one of our best friends and a great doctor. Unfortunately for us 3 of our embryos were abnormal and one didn't have enough tissue on the sample to test properly so we don't know either way about that one. But we are having it transferred tomorrow with everything possible crossed. The good thing about Array cgh is that if all embryos are abnormal you don't go through the 2ww wondering and hoping only for it to fail. It is expensive but we were lu...

HI Good for you. I sometimes think you feel better when you are doing something even though it can make you feel awful than just waiting to start. I think they are all lovely at Care and always have time to answer your questions no matter how trivial they may think they are. I travel and hour and twenty to get there and I think it is worth it. What protocol are you on?

Rapid weight gain - is this OHSS?!

Hi I have been hospitalised twice with Ohss and the things to look out for are bloating, pain in chest, shortness of breath and whether you are weeing properly. If it is dark in colour and you are breathless you need to go to A&E. Mild symptoms of ohss usually right themselves over a few days. If at all worried go to hospital and get checked out ( if you havent already) just for peace of mind. In most cases it just turns out to be all the drugs and the effects of the ec. Your ovaries will still ...

Hi Hope everyone has had a lovely weekend. Chatterbox - What a shame we are going on different days I am sure things will be ok this time. I think you deserve some good luck. Demi - I am sorry things have turned out this way but I am sure this year will be your year. Hello to everyone else
