IVF Hammersmith, London

We are in between at the mo, last tx was Oct Got 3 snow babies just saving up for tx. Unfortunately we aren't eligible for the NHS tx anymore not even now they have changed it to 3 - my consultant told me it's not finalised but because I have a high dose gonal-F they won't pay up. They can't agree on it at the mo but he reckons that they won't exceed 300iu Is Marie having acupunture up there? I had it on my last 2 tx and although we got bfns they were certainly better cycles for us, more product...

IVF Hammersmith, London

I'm just whizzing by and thought I'd check up on my clinic!! I'll be back there for my snow babies soon John, sounds like an awful journey mine is more straightfoward but takes just as long, I'm near you but on the liverpool street line. I assume you get a travel card for your journey? I'll be on tx number 5 soon so I have great experience of the journey. I always get off at White City got to the bus stop opposite and jump on the 72 or 272 which takes you to the hospital - great for all the cold...

IVF Hammersmith, London

Hi Jessica Yes they do acu at Hammersmith, i did reply to your thread too xx I was always NHS at Hammersmith but this time round I'm private and all the receipts for treatment come under 92 Harley St so it's not just the acu They do it at the Wolfson clinic on the same days as your scans, so there's no special trip up there. It's £240 for 4 sessions which is a special package the do in conjuction with IVF I got 7 eggs 4 good embies and 1 average - so I have 2 on board Who's your nurse? I really ...

** ACUPUNCTURE CHATTER **

Hi Jessica xx I see you are at Hammersmith? They do Acu there! They are in conjunction with 92 Harley Street - I since found out tho that if you are private at Hammersmith that's who you pay anyway They do a special IVF package which actually fits in with your scans It's 4 sessions the first one is on day 8 of stimms The girls are great, Anna and Maria I had acu on my last cycle and altho I got a bfn it did make it less stressful for me, I'm a hugely anxious person and I felt my last cycle was m...

I've tried this route too as I know some of the other girls' GPs funded them Unfortunately my GP is funded by the PCT and I have come to halt! Grrrr!

Had IVF, the miscarried and now test is positive?! HELP MEEEE!!

Hi xx I hope it's what we all think it is! Clear Blue are the best apparently, I can't think that you could poss have hormones left from tx else why would a lot of clinics say to do a POAS test?? Typical that it's bank hol and you can't get anything sorted I'm keeping everything crossed and hoping it's great news for you xx

Trigger shot

Ok my memory is playing games with me, that and I kept going through tunnels (on the train) when cons rang with my instructuions!! Doing trigger shot Sunday at 11pm, I still do the others as normal sunday morning don't I ? I'm sure that's what he said but I'm doubting myself now! Just tried to ring clinic but they are closed, ther is an emergency number to ring but I don't consider this an emergency - don't want them getting the hump for interrupting their day for a petty question, not when they...

consent to disclosure of identifying info??

I'm not entirely sure! I don't think they'd give info out to all and sundry but DP finds it hard to talk about tx and I think if at a later date some researcher started asking questions he wouldn't handle it too well. I kind of take each day as it comes but probably further along the line wouldn't want to talk about it all again I only consented for the GP so it's on my records all in one place, I have a couple of other medical issues so it's best for him to have the whole picture Give your clin...

I'm so angry and upset

Hi xx I work for local goverment and my employer has a policy of giving 2 weeks for IVF treatment. I think Unison had pushed for it, are you with Unison they do part of the NHS don't they? If you go to the Unison website and have a look at their IVF factsheet - it's got phone numbers too Luckily my employer pays for hospital appointments and I will be signed off sick for a week with Gynae surgery, my immediate boss knows what's really happening but HR don't. I think my boss is probably used to i...

About to start 3rd IVF attempt

Hi BofB xx I have cut my alcohol down only have a glass of wine on a friday night now and then. My last alcohol splurge was NYE but I'd cut down alot before then (no alochol for me since started tx, apart from a glass of wine at mil birthday party, it went straight to my head and I had a humdinger of a hangover the next day - on 1 glass of wine?!!!) I eat a fairly healthy diet anyway but I've been really counting my 5 a day Lots of the girls have cut out caffeine, can't tell you what that's like...
