Any letters re waiting list received?

Any of you girls who have got their letters - is there any option on the letter to delay treatment for a month or 2 or does anyone know if this is possible without having to go back to the start of the list ? I went on list in August 17 but if letter comes next month I won't be able to do treatment until July but don't want to lose my spot after waiting so long

What stage is everyone at now? And how's it going? Miss the chats on here x

Mewsbabes don’t lose hope . My second cycle second scan I had 2 follicles - told to cancel but up to me . Waiting on that phone call was the worst the day will drag in for you. But when I got my phone call the hormones were all looking good ie that there would likely be eggs in those follicles so I went with my heart and continued knowing that there wouldn’t be great odds - ended up with 2 fertilised and a 2 day transfer (likely if you have low embryo numbers ) and I became pregnant . So you hav...

Ah good luck mewsbabes - have everything crossed its good news . My second round they told me at scan to cancel and I didn’t got 2 embryos and became pregnant so there is always hope Tansy that is really interesting - I wonder how they decide between injection and pesseries ? I always questioned if more progesterone (like in other clinics ) might have stopped my miscarriage.probably not but it has played on my mind as they don’t test progesterone after positive test .my new Clinic (greece) are a...

Hi mewsbabes - I was with gcrm. Ovitrelle for trigger and ovitrelle again post et instead of progesterone pesseries. I did ask the nurse about it and why I didn’t need additional progesterone and she said it was enough progesterone to get me through to implantation (if it was going to happen )- after that the body / pregnancy will be like any other natural pregnancy and produce enough natural progesterone so no need for any additional. They (in gcrm) see the protocol with ovitrellle as mimicking...

Injection Time!

Fifs don’t be worrying- time doesn’t matter that much . I was told between 6-8 for mine - same time each night .i chose 7.30 ..no need to do them then go to bed as once they are done it’s fine - I felt fine anyway but then I’m fine with needles so might be different for others .. a few times I had to do them in toilets at a concert and stuff though I did try to do this as little as possible as they aren’t supposed to be out of fridge for long but an hour or 2 I’m sure is fine (and was for me ) ....

No it’s not always the same doc - I had dr traubb for consult - Fiona the nurse for consent - dr mcfaul for egg collections- dr traubb for embryo transfer and dr abaje for scan in between !! Lol I loved all the docs and nurses so didn’t mind who I got - except for one not mentioned who done one of my review appointments and who I requested not to see again lol. But rest are fab your in good hands . It is into tummy (you can alternate sides ) and thigh for trigger that’s same as me . You will be ...

Protocol is just the name for the different types of ways / drugs they can try and stimulate your ovaries with to produce eggs - what protocol you will be on depends on scans/amh etc x

It depends on protocol and what drugs you are one as to where you can inject them - I didn’t have a choice between stomach and thigh for mind - stimms had to be into stomach to side of belly button - trigger and progesterone support after collection were both into muscle in thigh again no choice in where it went .. it will all be explained to you in your appointment with the nurse don’t be worrying ! Tansy best of luck with your cycle I almost had my2nd cycle cancelled and ended up going ahead a...

I always thought injections would be the worse part for me - but they weren’t . Not by a mile . At the start I thought I wouldn’t be able to do it and got my hubby to do the first few but I got used to them and ended up preferring to do it myself lol! They aren’t sore (if they are in the tummy) the only one I found sore was my trigger as that was into muscle in the thigh but it’s over In a few seconds ... don’t be worrying injections are honestly ok you will be a pro after a few days of it lol x...

Your grand ask away ! Every protocol is different but in mine (short flare ) I didn’t have a period in between prostap and starting at home injections... if you aren’t sure don’t be afraid to ring and speak to a nurse they are always really helpful xx

Martha I have to be honest physically I recovered in about 2 weeks total but mentally I still haven’t fully got over it (if that’s the right words ) I still have very down days thinking I should be 20 weeks etc and I dread what should have been my due date but most days as you say I am just greatful that I actually was pregnant for the 1st time in my life and hope that I will be again soon . Physically I had heavy awful bleeding and terrible pain for About 5 days In total and continued to bleed ...

I don’t remember having many side effects to any of the drugs so I wouldn’t worry about the prostap. I was fairly bloated and uncomfortable while taking the stimms but honestly not at all as bad as I had expected although every person is different they just didn’t seem to effect me much (not complaining lol! ) menopur and gonal f are similar I’m sure they have picked the right drugs that suit your situation - is this your 1st cycle ? Best of luck x
