NEW PARENT CHAT THREAD

Hi everyone, Oh pip, I know how you feel! I get so sad when I think about how I'll never hold another wee baby in my arms. Maybe have a chat with your DH and see how he feels about it? R is very hard work at the minute too. He constantly has tantrums. I've actually been beginning to wonder if there's something wrong with him as I feel like no matter where I go he's the only child not cooperating or making a scene! It's probably just a difficult age though and I think he is spoilt with being an o...

Hi Cheenab, hope F is better soon. Good news that you will still get away on holiday. My DH wants to go to Disneyland Paris. Not sure whether to go for it or not. It's really expensive and could well be a nightmare with a very tantrumy toddler! Has anyone else been? xx

NEW PARENT CHAT THREAD

Happy Easter everyone. Hope all the little ones had a lovely day with lots of chocolate! R is obsessed with Easter eggs although he mostly likes unwrapping them rather than eating them! Cheenab, I hope T had a great first birthday. Time really has flown! He is gorgeous and so like F! I love seeing all your photos. Heather, sounds like there's a good plan in place for H. Glad to hear you have all settled in well in England. How is the job going? As for me, I'm doing ok. We are trying to get a hol...

NEW PARENT CHAT THREAD

Thanks everyone. I don't know what I'd do without this forum and you ladies to talk to. Fertility issues really do make you feel very isolated as none of my family or friends even know about our struggles. Cheenab, I'm so glad there are people like you on here who have had natural miracles as it does give me a teeny tiny bit of hope. I just don't want to go through the rest of my life hoping that the next month will be the one though. It's so difficult to make the decision to finally draw a line...

NEW PARENT CHAT THREAD

Thank you net for your very kind words. I will bounce back, as you say it's all just a bit raw at the minute. My horrible sister in law is due her 3rd child in the next couple of weeks and she is so smug and annoying. Wish I could hibernate for a while lol! I'd thought about speaking to the health visitor about the sleeping but she's never overly helpful so just kinda ploughing on for now. I've ended up bringing him into bed with me at around 3am for the past few nights just so that we can get s...

Thanks everyone for the kind words. Feeling a bit down about it all tonight. Little orchid, do you know do we get a review appointment as part of the private fet or do we have to pay extra if we want one? The form I have to send back asks if I want a review and I wouldn't mind having a chat with the consultant to see if they think it would be worth our while having any further treatment. If I have to pay for it though I'd probably consider going elsewhere. JMcK, hope you are keeping well xx

NEW PARENT CHAT THREAD

Thanks everyone, I hope you all had a lovely Mother's Day. I was a little bit extra spoilt by my wee man today and had a nice quiet day in with him. You are so right Pip, we are all very blessed and I never forget it. To be honest though I'm feeling a bit down today. I just don't feel ready to give up hope of having another baby yet but I don't know what to do. We really can't afford a fresh cycle and even if we could I feel that the odds would be low as I'm not getting any younger and I just do...

Thanks girls. Will definitely be having a wee glass or 2 of wine tonight! Unfortunately no option for us to try again. This was our last wee frostie and we couldn't afford another fresh cycle. Even if we could I doubt we'd have any success due to my age x

Thanks girls but there wasn't even a hint of a line and I used a FRER so think it's definitely over.

Tested this morning 2 days early and it's definitely a BFN for me. Very disappointed but know I'm already so lucky to have my little boy. I just wanted this to work as much for him as for me.

I tested this morning 2 days early and it's a BFN as expected. Even though I knew in my heart it hadn't worked I'm still really disappointed. I'm so thankful for what I already have but I so wanted R to have a little brother or sister

Hi ladies, Little orchid, good luck with the next cycle! Some of the clinics abroad seem to get better results so definitely worth a try. JMcK I have been thinking about you and really hope you got the result you were hoping for. I'm pretty sure things haven't worked out for me this time unfortunately

Hi JMcK, not long to go for you! You have done well to hold off without testing this long. I will definitely give in earlier if I get that far lol. How are you feeling? Have you had any symptoms? I've still had very little although I vomitted all day yesterday and was very queasy today although I'm pretty sure it's just an ill timed stomach bug as it would be way to early for anything else. Yeah, seeing the flash was amazing! None of the doctors have ever used the ultrasound during transfer for ...

Thanks girls. I've just been to Tesco where I spent some time hovering around the pregnancy tests. Managed to leave without buying any lol. Pip I'll maybe get a wee sticker chart. That's a good idea. The problem with R is that he gets himself so worked up that he won't listen to anything I'm saying so those sort of bribes don't always work well with him. Definitely worth a try though! He's always settled himself really well at night so I don't know what it's all about. I've recently changed him ...

NEW PARENT CHAT THREAD

Hi everyone, hope you all had a nice weekend. Good to hear from you cheenab. Sorry Z is having a hard time. That's so horrible to think that kids can be so mean at such a young age. Makes you wonder what sort of adults they will grow into! I hope Z isn't too upset by it and it stops now the boy has been spoken to. That's brilliant that T is walking. Your pics on FB are gorgeous. F and at are so alike! As for me, I'm still hanging on. Not feeling too positive though. I'm 5dp6dt today and apart fr...

Thanks ladies. Please keep everything crossed for me! Can't help but feeling a bit negative as I've had no cramping worth mentioning and with R I had lots around this stage! xx

Hi JMcK, I couldn't get on to the site to update either. Was wondering how I would get through the 2ww without it lol! I am feeling the same as you, no symptoms other than a bit of cramping after the transfer and feeling very tired although I'm putting that down to having a 2 year old who has suddenly decided he doesn't like sleeping! I'm a bit stressed by the lack of symptoms as I'm sure at this stage last time I was having a lot of cramps and that was a successful cycle. Saying that, if I was ...
