NEW PARENT CHAT THREAD

Aww Net, poor wee stinky-bum L! If she had two nasty D+V bugs in a row I guess maybe that could still be having a lingering effect on her wee tum. K's poos have been like that this week, and she's been filling her nappy 4-5 times a day (oh joy) but I think she's either had a bit of a bug or granny fed her some weird concoctions at the weekend! Hopefully she'll be back to normal soon - which for her is similar to Sasha's LO, usually once a day. Lovely to read all your updates ladies, I never seem...

NEW PARENT CHAT THREAD

Hey Sasha, it was up in Inverness, lovely route and not too crowded. Just been out today and bought some byoootiful new running shoes, thinking about maybe a marathon next... You're doing Tough mudder this year aren't you? When is that? I like the sound of it but have the fear of getting manky! Hope you've all had a lovely weekend xxxx

Peek - only me Been off the radar for ages, these little 'uns are keeping me out of mischief for sure! F has decided that only Mummy can put him to bed, which would be fine except he doesn't settle till after 9pm most nights... K settles fine for Daddy about 8ish, but usually wakens looking for me by 11. So my evening downtime is pretty limited these days But they're great, we're having so much fun (mostly). K has more or less weaned herself off the boob now, I only feed her myself first thing i...

NEW PARENT CHAT THREAD

Hey Amy, sounds like things are mega-hectic with you Just a wee bit reassurance, F barely spoke at 13 months either - a bit of babble, and we could sometimes pick out things that sounded like mama, dada and milk... but he didn't really speak until after his second birthday. He turned 4 in January this year and has an incredible vocabulary now - a couple of little speech issues i.e. not pronouncing his "s" and "f" sounds correctly, but we're working on that. So try not to worry and please try not...

NEW PARENT CHAT THREAD

Hi Sasha, really sorry to hear your DH is feeling down. Has he felt this way before? I've no words of wisdom I'm afraid, but I think it's really positive that he's come forward and told you, instead of bottling it up. And you're already showing great support for him by asking for advice. I hope you can both get to the bottom of it and that he's feeling better soon hun xxx Hey Net, EE, WMG, Dusky and everyone else - I am trying to keep up on here and fb (lovely christening pics Net ) but just can...

NEW PARENT CHAT THREAD

Hello ladies, quickly stopping by before bedtime... Very excited to hear you're both going again this year Sasha and Net, will start stocking up on for you! Net, I'm not sure about AFs and BFing, as I combination fed F right from the start and stopped BFing completely at 12ish weeks, so my periods came back pretty early on. It's been strange with K as I had what I thought was AF when she was only 5 weeks old, and was a bit cheesed off as I'd expected not to have one at all while BFing! But I hav...

I hope you and all your LOs are having a lovely start to 2014. Just a quickie from me as it's stoopid o'clock in the morning - been trying to make a Tardis cake for F's 4th birthday on Friday (you got one of those Bee? Jaunting off to 2914? ) It's wee B's 2nd birthday now too, we've a balloon to release and will visit the crematorium and the remembrance room at the hospital, maybe get a good walk in the fresh air. And K finally has a tooth! She's still a cranky wee madam though, so hopefully th...

Hey all - sounds like you're all pretty organised for Crimbo Well, snot is still reigning supreme in this house so not getting much done - F is almost better now but wee K has a terrible cough lingering that wakens her every couple of hours through the night. I'm back to taking her into our bed to settle her, sometimes night feeding again, but hopefully that'll only last as long as she's poorly Granny is taking them both for a few hours tomorrow so it'll be a cleaning/wrapping blitz for me I thi...

Aaargh - meant to pop in with a proper update but children are calling again! F is serving up bolognase ice-cream with green sausages... (s'ok, it's play-doh) Got two snotty wee ones this week, they'll be better for the festivities. How are everyone else's LOs doing now? Hope all the bugs are on the way out. Not much happening here, except that's K been on solids for a week now She seems to be enjoying it, still no teeth though. The wee rascal's on the move too - not quite proper crawling, but v...

nervous about how i'll cope with delivery after previous loss

Hello Sunflowerliz, I'm so happy to see you're on the last lap now. A rainbow for Christmas - how perfect As far as coping with emotions of delivery goes, like the lovely Rally I can only share my experience with you, but I guess we all have different ways of coping, and you'll manage somehow hun. Looking back I still don't know how I managed to carry and deliver another baby after my loss, but thank goodness I did because she is worth every crazy minute of it! Our darling DS2 was stillborn at 3...

NEW PARENT CHAT THREAD

Hey ladies, just a quick fly-by from me to say get well soon babies and mummies. November always seems to be a bad month for nasty bugs, F had a pukey thing going on when we were away last week, so far the rest of us seem unscathed... Bee, K had that new rotavirus vaccination too, reckon it must be standard now. Away on our travels again this weekend, so will hopefully get a chance to catch up with you all properly next week. Never seem to get 5 minutes online these days, my life is such a socia...

Hi lovely ladies, sorry no time for proper post just now, just want to drop off some huge for you Rally hun, really glad you've had a chat with the GP and yes you definitely deserve this wee helping hand. Bee, your poor DS, what a worrying time for you all. Really happy to hear he's doing well, and I hope you both get back home today. Thinking of you and wishing him a speedy recovery hun xxxx We are off on a wee holiday tomorrow, so today I have a mountain of washing, ironing and packing to deal with. Hope the bairns let me get on with it! I'll try and get in with personals before we go, but not getting online much as both LOs have been really unsettled this week. K is waking up for night feeds a...

Posting on Facebook

Congratulations on your lovely news! Just want to echo what the other ladies have said already. I do use FB quite a lot, as it's my main form of communication with a lot of family and friends I don't see often - am so rubbish at phoning and texting With my first two I did post scan pictures, after our TTC troubles over the years and knowing that ache when others posted scan and baby pictures, I kind of figured it was our turn and hoped friends in a similar situation would understand and be happy...

NEW PARENT CHAT THREAD

Gosh, it's nearly a week since I last posted, don't seem to have had a minute. K has been super grumpy with a cold and/or teething, she also had her last lot of vaccs on Thursday which has unsettled her quite a bit this time. Add to that a boy with a bad cough, Halloween parties and fireworks and the week has just disappeared! I'm bloody knackered now Bee, I love Monocle, that's class! Someone back in third tri's phone (maybe Nic's?) used to predict me as Moonless which was good too... believe m...

Ah that's a good idea Heather - F does occasionally nod off in the car if he's shattered, but his pre-school is an afternoon place so I try not to let him sleep afterwards as it's a bit close to teatime. I'm kind of looking forward to the teenage years for the long-lies! Hope L is back to sleeping through again soon. Have fun at swimming x Just realised I missed Net on my last post - sorry lovely, caught you on FB though! Stairgate time x K napping now so off to whiz round some chores before the...
