Ovulation Induction at QE, prescription confusion

Hi Sammi, It's been a while for me, but I had a couple of cycles at the QE. It sounds like its still the same and they give you the prescription, only when they know ou will definitely start your treatment. I'm ñot sure why they do this, but I did find the QE's prices ok. I subsequently went back there when I needed more drugs from a cycle at another clinic and they were comparable in cost. They used to give you a script for all the drugs you'd need including the HCG one Wishing you the very bes...

Hi, baby h - I just wondered how you're doing? Like Maria I think the ARGC are the best. It's a mad chaotic place, but they know there stuff and helped me and I was a very complicated case! I hope it's all going well for you. Good luck x

Info about intralipids/steroids/clotting etc, following immunology test results

Hi Rosa, I'm currently on all the drugs you mention and have no side effects. As Maria suggested I take my steroids first thing in the morning and have been fine. My only observation has possibly been an increased appetite, but I'm also greedy so it could be that The combo worked for us, I'm currently 6weeks pregnant so try not to worry x

ARGC

Hello ladies After a lot of soul searching and 7 cycles, we are taking the plunge and have booked a consultation at ARGC. We're there on the 22nd of this month so excited and scared of what we'll be told all at the same time ! Any other ladies just starting their journey there? Would be lovely to catch up. Thanks PQ xx

Struggling

Hi Sarah. Sorry to hear you're going through this. I dislike needles immensely (as a result of lots of ops as a child), so I was given an auto injector. You still obviously need to handle the injection, but for me it was the thoughts of the injection itself. With the auto injector you just press a button and its over quickly. Sorry I can't offer any more help, but it may be worth Making enquiries. Good luck xx

Help - would another infusion help increase HCG levels?

Thanks Rico and Maria. Maria, sadly I don't know your story but I was so sad to read that you felt you had gone to ARGC too late. I don't 'know' you but I have to say you come across as such a thoughtful and caring Lady - completely selfless as you always seem ready and willing to help so thank you for all your support. However, I guess you can read my mind! I do wish someone could just give me the answers and take away the decision as to what to do next. I feel in a quandry as to what to do nex...

Help - would another infusion help increase HCG levels?

Thanks Gemma, thats kind of you x Louise - My last txt was with Care Nottingham aswell - probably why they were the same meds! I guess they must have a standard protocol they follow. Really pleased it worked for you x Maria - thanks, you're informative as ever. I'm really in a quandry as to what to do next. We have a follow up consultation booked for early October so I'll be interested to see what they say - but from what I know they have given me all they offer, so I don't think there is a alte...

Are immunulogy protocols different depending on the clinic?

Thanks Ladies, I'm still in limbo land which is frustrating - no idea when AF will show up! Maria & the other immune ladies - can I ask you if in your experience that all immune protocols are the same? I'm just wondering if there is a difference between the likes of what Care offer and ARGC? I know everyone's protocol will be different, but I was found to have elevated NK levels and was given an intralipid infusion, aspirin (til EC), steriods, clexane, prontagest and prognova. I know you cant co...

Help - would another infusion help increase HCG levels?

Hi Wardie, Hope you're ok - noticed you're on the road again - everything crossed for you with that Sadly, its not good news for me. Had another blood test on Wednesday and the levels are still not rising as they should - they'd only gone up by 3. Had they doubled at all I'd have pushed for another infusion, but as it was nothing was happening so I was advised to stop the meds and wait for AF. Unfortunately she hasn't made an appearance yet, so I'm still in limbo waiting for that to happen (and ...

first scan for ivf

Hi there - yes the count can vary - I've been up to 22 and down to 5 so it really just depends on how your body responds at that particular time. Often, if you are not responding as well as they'd like they can increase your meds (depending on what level you start at). Try not to worry and good luck xx

Hello, new, scared and just a bit bewildered!

Hi Kerry, I think there is such a build up ahead of the appointment, it's only natural to feel a bit flat and bewildered afterwards. I'm sure they will have given you lots of information which can be difficult to process and take in. That said, it certainly sounds as though you had a positive meeting and the sucess rate sounds good. Given you've had a sucessful pregancy before it sounds like you only need a little help getting there. You'll find this site invaluable to find out more about the di...

Help - would another infusion help increase HCG levels?

Thanks for your replies Ladies. I called Care today as it was my official OTD. apparrently the infusion last 6-8 weeks so I'm still covered by that, and they suggest not having another until I've had another HCG test taken - the earliest will be Tuesday due to the bank holiday. So more waiting... Thanks for your kind replies xx
