Morning ladies How’s everyone doing? Welcome Crafty Acorn and wishing you lots of good luck for the future too. As Hello says, lots of heathy eating and drinking lots of fluid when going through treatment really helps with side effects of the meds too. Most of all try to relax bit that’s easier said than done. My news is that I had my surgery a week ago and finally starting to feel human again. Op went well despite some post op complications and I ended up in theatre recovery for 4 hours then ca...

Hi Ladies How are you all? Congratulations Wee Miracles on the birth of your littel girl. Hope you are both keeping well! Bambi how are you? Have you got a date to start again? Well finally after 8 weeks of stress and me finally kicking off on Mon I've got my genetic results back and thankfully I don't have the 2 BRACA genes. I'm a bit of a mystery as I don't fall into the other 2 categories either so they have sent off for various other family members pathology records from Cancer Registry and ...

Hey Ladies, Merry Christmas and hope you all had a lovely time with your families. Sadly my appt at The Breast Clinic last Friday was not good news and it was confirmed I have Breast Cancer. They don’t have all the results back yet and one test was inconclusive or as my GP told me later was borderline so they have sent the tissue sample to Dundee for further analysis. They hoped to get it back this week but with the holidays it will be then end of next week now so they cancelled my appt for this...

Hey Bambi, sorry abotu the abrupt endin to the last message. i was rushing off to a meeting I had totlaly forgotten about at work. Im no expert on molar pregnancies and this was just what I remembered my pal telling me a while back. I'm totally confused though as to why they told you it was a molar and then said they needed Dundee to confirm it?? Surely Raigmore labs knew enough to see that it was. if not they shiuldnt have given you that information. I've never heard of a partial molar before a...

Hey Lily884, welcome to our online family. There area few of us from Inverness on here so you are not alone. Infertility totally screws with your emotions and its amazing how badly you can react to things where you wouldn't normally bat an eyelid at the situation. Thats just normal and hormones are raging too. My DH was a bit like that to begin with too as he morphology was borderline although is count and concentration was good. I even caught him smoking at times despite promosing he had stoppe...

Beattie don’t give up hope. A faint line is good for early days. If you Test later in the day, depending in how much liquid you have drank through the day can dilute your urine and affect the result. Try again tomorrow with the first pee of the day before you drink anything and if it’s faint then phone the clinic and ask for a blood test and tell them you’ve had faint positives coming and going. They should then repeat your bloods 48 hours later to see if your HCG levels have increased. Massive ...

Thanks Beattie and Hello. Not been too sore surprisingly , well until I put my PJ’s on just now and took my bra off. I’m tempted to put it back on again to sleep in! I’ve got a headache but think that’s just from the tension and worry earlier. Hopefully l’ll get some sleep and call feel a bit brighter tomorrow xxx

Take and care and get lots off cuddles from your little Princess and hubby and hopefully you will get your follow up appt soon. Bambi I totally get where you are coming from. Got an urgent appt for next Wed at The breast screening clinic for ultrasound, mammogram and possible biopsy if they feel it's required. My colleague who used to work there said she would try to get me seen asap and before Xmas so I think I owe her a very large glass of wine at the office Xmas night out! Xx

Hi Everyone Oh Bambi, I'm gutted you had to go therough an MVA but thank goodness they managed to give you a side room to use just in case your cervix dilated quickly. I'm the complete opposite with Misopristol and completely resistant to it and it has no effect on me either vaginally or orally. My cervix had to be dilated with rods for each of my ERCP's post mc and for my hysteroscopies. No wonder you were panicking about going through with it as the thought must have been terrifying! That's gr...

Thanks Winter83. I’m trying not to stress too much at the moment but will probably go into panic mode the night before my appt. DH has just reminded me we’ve got BUPA cover through his work so he can phone to ask if I can get seen quicker if I want to? I’m not sure though if they will see me as if it was the ivf meds that have caused it, then it’s fertility related and they refused to do my hysteroscopy privately because it was fertility related. . Hopefully I’ll get an appt soon. Take care too ...

Forgot to say I was watching the BBC Breakfast news prog before work this morning and spotted an interview about IVF from the Aberdeen Research Team. Here's the link below. It's to do with having a mc in your first cycle puts your at a better chance of having a sucessful pregnancy in next cycle. Maybe that's why they are pushing for me to try again after 3 mc's although mine were in natural pregnancies! maybe there is hope for me yet! Morning ladies Wow lots of messages since I was last online. Beattie hope you get your transfer soon. Fingers crossed your embies that ok too! I had a similar conversation with Aberdeen about TSH as years ago my TSH was 1.5 then shot up to 2.6 almost 3 years ago after my recurrent mc's through natutal pregnancies. They tested it again in Jan of this year and it was still at 2.6 but I was negative for antibodies so wouldn't treat it. I asked recently about this and was told that if you test negat...

Morning Ladies and welcome Beattie02. Sorry your last cycle failed. It's so hard. Sometimes it can be 1-2 months to for a follow up appt with a Consultant unless the nurses decide to coordinate your next FET where sometimes you can start the following month. Good luck with the thaw process. It's so nerve wracking waiting for that call! Hope you get to try again soon. How's eveyone else doing and hope all the bumps are growing well too! Bambi, glad you had a lovely holiday and coped ok with meeti...
